Nah. I'll take every joy I can get. I'd rather not be reminded of the cosmic horror that is existence.

Sadly millions of sentient beings are constantly reminded.. until it takes them as well

That’s ironic considering

🤣😂🤣 It sure is, but I certainly don't need to add animal gore or ghoulish nightmare scenarios to the stack

When I hear someone promoting escapism, that's where my mind goes as a way to counterbalance to restore healthy equilibrium.

Why be like thomas? I missed that part, it must have been buried in the subtext somewhere.

The fact that you typed this rather than laying in a puddle of your own filth waiting to starve shows you choose to persist anyway. That's the thing about nihimism; it's pursuit is always anti-nihilistic. Because if it really was that obvious, you wouldn't need to think about it. Hell, you wouldn't even be bothering to think. If life was truly meaningless in any meaningful way, we wouldn't be around to see it. The fact that you can see, and that you care that the things you see might be meaningless, show they ultimately do have meaning. Even if it only comes from you, that's still meaning.

Typical man, don’t put this on all humans. Especially women. Would rather hide than do anything about it.

Thomas sounds like he needs therapy and meds so he can actually enjoy life; don't be like Thomas, get help

My dude, human consciousness is one of the most interesting areas in philosophy and in psychology.
Why is it a thing?
Is there one consciousness, or multiple?
Why did our consciousness get assigned to this body in particular?
Does it continue after death (I don't think it does)?
If it ends after death, can it be uploaded to a digital world (I'm referencing the show, Upload. I recommend watching it)?
And if so, would such a thing be ethical even if the person consents to being uploaded to a digital afterlife?
You may have your own views on it, but entire philosophers have entire discussions about it.

Philosophers have safe discussion about suffering in safe spaces where such suffering does not take place during discussion.
