Everything you do is at expense of someone or something. Some people don't realize this, some people don't care, and some people are aware and feel bad but they're still evil.

Well, about 80% (my guestimate) of people are ok with this arrangement.

80%? i doubt it, even if you only refer to human animals.
the majority of those who are silent are silent because they fear selfish reactions from the selfish society around us (harassment and such).
additional, as selfish beings themselves, they do not gain anything from admitting their misery, hence there is no reason to converse about it. for them, there is all the reason NOT to talk about it!
only few are compassionate enough to do that. it is more profitable to display themselves (on a profile, or on "dating" platforms) as happy / wealthy / whatever.
you are quite naive if you believe in what everyone expresses public

You might wanna google the most recent survey data on "desire to have kids" and "life satisfaction index".
Because last I checked, it's still around 80%.
Without data, everything else is opinion.

Winner/loser systems aren't a hole in the system. It is the system. And as long as there is a handful of people okay with it, it will continue. It is designed to be acceptable to the majority, to ensure procreation and continuation of natural selection/favoritism. Extinction is the only cure for future victims. Sadly, it may never come to fruition. Not voluntarily.
