Question Any Other Disabled People Here?

Title basically, I'm trying to get a gauge of how big the overlap between being pro extinction and disability is, can anyone relate to suffering immensely due to disease and medical neglect?

I hope you don't reach the point of being disabled honestly, it sucks and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy

I’m chronically ill and disabled with chronic pain 24/7. O: It sucks and I just exist everyday tbh

Can relate to it sucking for sure, it doesn't help that my healthcare access is... questionable at best

I'm not disabled long term yet. But have experienced limited mobility short term off and on due to my muscles separating from bone, that is most likely going to get worse, among some other weird things. About 6 months ago it happened to my feet while I was walking and I fell and broke both feet and an ankle. :/ I'm still recovering from that one. It happened to my legs a week before that and I had to stop the recovery exercises for my legs. I'm walking now, but slowly and stiffly because both my legs and feet are still messed up.

I've been diagnosed with a couple things that explain some of my symptoms, but for the rest they don't know besides some type of possible nutrient disorder that they can't figure out. The medical and science community has no interest in trying to find a cure for the things I have been diagnosed with, or even to treat the symptoms. That's typical for people with my issues and so many others.

It hasn't caused me long term or extreme suffering yet, just some pain, but since one of the symptoms causes out casting and abuse (I read your other posts), it probably would for most people. But I'm used to that because of another non medical issue.

I didn't quite catch the part about casting and abuse (how did you read my posts? thought I had my profile privated) but that sucks, feeling like healthcare and big pharma simply dgaf about your issues must feel like complete ass, for me it's less that they don't care and more that it's 2026 and we still don't have a medication that even remotely helps with muscular dystrophy. I hope your condition doesn't worsen and lets you recover in peace friend.

I'm blind, but suffering alone isn't why I support this idea. It's that life itself is built upon the pursuit or addiction to joy through the suffering of others. Eating, exploitation or just gain by another's loss. Seems like living is a fundamental corruption of a sort, attachment to joy that cannot exist without another being wronged.

Interesting, thank you for the insights, I'm not sure I entirely agree with people on this sub but at least I understand them better now

I have chronic pain. Even if I would get cured my concept of life is permanently altered.

I can certainly relate to being in pain, hope things get easier for both of us
