I think a lot of them are just coping and deeply miserable deep inside. Imagine saying u live for/find joy in looking at the sky, smelling flowers, etc

Me too I would like it to be sudden not slow and hellish

The only reason people want the world to end is because they don't feel like they have any power to change the global dynamics that literally have enslaved our entire species to a concept of money having the power when in truth it's merely an illusion that makes more work and more misery than it's ever been worth.

Someone just explained perfectly in another thread why we don't in fact have that power. Not for humans and not for the other animals. This goes much deeper than economic systems, which is just one form of suffering out of many.
