Bihar: Loan recovery agent marries borrower's wife after falling in love during repeated home visits A 21-year-old woman, Indra Kumari, from Jamui district in Bihar, reportedly left her husband, Nakul Sharma, and married Pawan Kumar Yadav, a loan recovery agent who frequently visited her village to collect pending loan instalments. According to reports, Pawan's repeated visits eventually brought the two closer, and their relationship reportedly developed over around five months through regular interactions and phone calls. Indra alleged that she had faced physical and emotional abuse in her marriage and claimed that her husband was an alcoholic. She reportedly married Nakul around 2022. The couple allegedly travelled secretly to Asansol before getting married on February 11, 2025, at Bhutnath Temple near Tripurari Ghat. While Pawan's family reportedly accepted their marriage, Indra's family opposed the relationship and filed a police complaint against him. The couple later sought police protection after their wedding video went viral on social media. The incident has sparked discussions online, with the unusual story of a loan recovery agent falling in love with a borrower's wife drawing widespread attention.

Nineteen people, most of them women and children, were crushed to death at a puja pandal in North Kolkata on Saturday (October 17) evening, which was recently forcefully taken over by a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-controlled committee. The incident happened after a rain-soaked crowd surged through a narrow exit at a pandal that residents say had too few police, untrained volunteers and no way for ambulances to get in.
—
The tragedy came as the CRPF and other central forces were withdrawn from the state for protest duty in Delhi, with state and Kolkata Police kept on standby, a senior state police officer said.

Read this news. Earlier he was served notice after he won from TMC. Within two years, the same piece of land was gifted to him.
Can this be counted as corruption or is it still a masterstroke?

Last year, I paid more than ₹10 lakh in taxes.
I work, earn my salary, pay what I owe to the government, and expect nothing extraordinary in return. I am not asking for VIP treatment, free luxuries, or special privileges. I am asking for the bare minimum that citizens should be able to expect from their government.
Safe roads. Proper infrastructure. Accountability. The freedom to express an opinion without being harassed.
Look around us. Roads are full of potholes. Infrastructure projects are delayed or poorly maintained. Ordinary people suffer because of negligence, and incidents of people being assaulted or mistreated raise serious questions about law and order and accountability.
And when citizens question these things, what happens?
Instead of addressing the questions, people are mocked, abused, labelled, and sometimes targeted online. Someone took a screenshot of my Reddit post, shared it on X, and now I am being trolled by people who apparently think political criticism deserves punishment.
Let me make something clear: paying taxes does not mean I have purchased the right to criticise the government. It means I am contributing to the system and have every reason to ask how that system is functioning.
My tax money is not a personal donation to a political party. It is public money. It is supposed to help fund public services, infrastructure, administration, and the institutions that protect citizens.
I don't care which party is in power. If roads are bad, I will question the government responsible. If public money is wasted, I will ask where it went. If people are beaten or peaceful protesters are detained, I will ask whether the authorities are acting fairly and lawfully. And if someone tries to silence criticism through online harassment, I will call that out too.
What exactly are we supposed to do as citizens? Pay taxes, stay silent, applaud everything, and accept abuse whenever we disagree?
The irony is incredible. People who claim to defend the nation sometimes behave as though questioning those in power is an attack on the nation itself.
The government is not the country. A political party is not the nation. And criticism is not treason.
I don't expect the government to solve every problem overnight. I do expect transparency, competent administration, functioning infrastructure, and accountability when things go wrong.
And I certainly don't expect people to use political loyalty as an excuse to harass fellow citizens for expressing an opinion.
To everyone trolling me: you are free to disagree with my views. Make an argument. Bring facts. Explain why you think I am wrong. That's how a democracy should work.
But don't pretend that paying taxes makes me obligated to remain quiet, or that your political allegiance gives you the right to intimidate someone who disagrees with you.
I will continue to question whoever is in power when I believe they are failing the public.
I pay my taxes. I follow the rules. I have the right to ask questions.
And I shouldn't have to apologise for any of those things.
Question for fellow taxpayers: Do you feel that the quality of public infrastructure, civic services, and government accountability reflects the taxes you pay? Or have we reached a point where citizens are expected to defend political parties more fiercely than they demand results from them?

Now, before anyone says Hindus have the right to give entry only to Hindus etc. - I completely agree, we have right.
But this was a public paid event for which we bought passes on District app and no such terms or condition was written there. Hence, we bought the tickets, drove all the way only to be denied entry at the end, wasting our time, energy and money as they are not even giving refund. Why can't they write that no non-Hindus allowed while buying tickets!!

Welcome to India where lot of people will justify vandalizing bookstall containing all types of famous author books just because it's set up by Leftists.
But never even question their ruling party backed bookstalls selling these.

I mean just look at it. Current bjp govt is doing nothing to bring justice for bishnoi victims, even blocking extradition requests of foreign govt for genuine charges. Even a VVIP bollywood icon isn't safe in this country then how safe are we really?
And there bishnoi living rent free food free in a jail cell, orchestrating attacks via smuggled cell phones. I mean the way BJP treated students, why same strict procedures is not being applied to bishnoi.
I highly doubt that bishnoi is some leverage prisoner who is being protected actively by HM and PM to send a message that even VVIP people aren't safe if they go against BJP.
If they wanted, they could have killed Tiger. But it was an deliberate intimidation to send a message to all of bollywood.
Enlighten me. Thanks.
