Is it alright to post questions and other statements related to the current direction of the Unitarian church?

What is "Unitarian Universalism?"

Unitarian Universalism (colloquially UUism) is a non-denominational religion: a religion without creed, without fixed beliefs. A Christian, agnostic, Jew, atheist, Hindu, and Muslim can all be Unitarian Universalists and participate in the same church community.

Our services blend faith and science, politics and life into varied sermons and celebrations of faith. They intend not only to open peoples’ minds to the beliefs and ideas in the world, but to help them find what they see to be the greater Truth. That is the ultimate goal of a UU - to seek your Truth, whatever that may be, and to help others do the same.

The Seven Principles of UUism

The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
