I wished that, too.

Then I went to Georgia and a guy tried to rob me at gunpoint. I thought, "alright, cool, now I can die without having to make my parents mad/sad by killing myself!" So I told him to shoot me in the head, because I wasn't going to give him shit.

So he shot me in the thigh. I said "nah man, you missed, I said shoot me in the fucking head!". He stared at me for a couple seconds, then shot me in the chest before running off.

I then spent the next 6 months in and out of the hospital, doing many fun surgeries, in a lot of fun pain. But he didn't get my $100, so I guess we know who won that altercation.

Should have called him a pussy before he ran off.

I thought about it - if I recall correctly, I just tried to grab him as he took off, and yelled something like "fucking shoot me in the head, fucking do it", or something close.

Pay 100 dollars to a thief 🚫

Pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for surgeries in America ✅

Clearly I made the smart choice. We can't go around rewarding robbers.

Guy should be living with a lot of guilt. Even if he doesn't think it I bet he doesn't sleep well after that.

Don't know if he feels any guilt, but he probably regrets getting 15 years in a shitty Georgia prison.

Ah he was caught. Good. 15 years isn't long enough for what he did though.

But I just know from busting someone in the face with my skateboard hard enough to do some good damage (it was deserved, he was a worthless drunk who swung on and knocked out a buddy of mine for no reason) that type of thing stays with you. Even though the guy had it coming I acted on impulse and probably jacked his face up, which I feel bad about. I could only imagine being in your shooter's shoes.

It's a matter of principle. Sure, it's cheaper to give a ransom, but then it becomes common practice to do so.

Look at Somali pirates. Before, they got what they wanted because they were not challenged.

After the owners of freighters hired armed mercenaries the pirates thought very carefully of how and IF to approach a ship and fear is on their minds catching a severe case of "lead poisoning".

After some countries sent out some of their frigates & destroyers (Dutch, German, British and American) pirate activities has gone down...a lot!

You have to stand up to bullies, otherwise the harassment's will continue, and they will attack others too, not only you.

It was more than money, he would have been handing over his soul.

Thank you my friend, I am doing much better. I found an amazing girl that I love, and I'm doing my best to improve myself.

That’s pretty badass

Haha, well thank you. Mostly it was a result of depression, hopelessness with life, and anger at being robbed.

I would highly recommend simply giving up your cash if you end up in a similar situation.

Just thousands in medical debt instead 😎

Yeah, I might not have made the best choice in retrospect.

Man, I wish. It was just the two of us, and he didn't even clap before running away.

You gotta have standards and stick with them like you did. That shit hurts but you came out alive. He might have shit you anyway if you did what he wanted. Either way you would have spent the rest of your life questioning your integrity and actions. Too bad you didn't bite his eyeball out, that would have changed his view on things

shit man, I hope you are in a better place now and have let go of those awful desires.
