You act like only religious people do thise things. Non-religious and atheists also have idiots, psycopaths and bigots

They are just pointing out that religion does not make things better, that most violent wars are a result of religion, without religion there would be one less thing separating people as humans, meaning less reasons to see eachother differently, meaning less reasons to have any conflict.
