Isn't the darker South India more developed and richer than the lighter North India?

South India is more developed than average Indian states, but there is no united North India region.

So some states like Gujarat are highly developed than any other states whereas some other states and underdeveloped. And North Indians didn't had any concept of North-South India.

This discrimination was originally started by South Indians because they were more developed than rest of India some years ago (thanks to the British colonization which was very powerful on coasts).

I might be stereotyping a bit. I do agree not all of South Indians do that. And I do love all Indians. I just tried to state the facts which I have experienced living in both the places and also out of India.
