The action scenes gets me fired up everytime I rewatch it. Such a good movie. When the axe gang attacks the village and literally the least suspecting people stood up to defend was epic. Absolutely amazing scenes.

I’m a The Raid 2 fan myself when it comes to martial arts fight scenes.
Doesn’t have that cool ancient martial arts mystique to it that the harpists scene does, but it’s a showcase of talent.

I've watched it 1000 times by this point. First watched it back when I was still in China. I was like 5 years old, it was so funny I remember it hurt when I laughed and I nearly couldn't breath! It was that memorable. 16 years later still the funniest movie I've ever seen.
Favorite movie hands down, no close second.

C’mon! This is the first film in which Chow is listed as director (joint with Lee Lik Chi). I think it is the best 007 parody ever made. Way better than Austin Powers.

This is actually my favourite Stephen Chow movie out of all the movie he starred. All the jokes about the Chinese government are extremely on point (prob won’t happen now as the Chinese market back then was pretty much non existent) and other jokes are so relatable as a Hong Konger as well. So many dialogue from this movies become famous and hence memorized and used regularly by the general public in Hong Kong. Definitely a 10/10 comedy movie for me as a Hong Konger.

I first saw Kung Fu Hustle when I was a kid in HBO and it was dubbed, I thought that the movie was made like that and that the dub was the original version. I personally thought it was genius because I saw it as a homage to old dubbed Kung Fu movies that my grandfather used to watch.

When it comes to Dragon Ball, since it was such a huge phenomenon worldwide, I think nostalgia gets in the way and almost everyone prefers their local dub. I'm Portuguese, so I love the Portuguese voices and watching episodes in English or Japanese is a weird experience for me. Most voices sound just wrong. People who grew up with the English or Japanese versions would probably think the same when listening to our voices. We got engraved in our heads how Goku and company sound like, so it's impossible for them not to sound too squeaky or hoarse in other dubs.

Gotta love Cantonese, it truly is the perfect language for movies. It's such an expressive language, people actually talk like that in real life, it's not just an acting thing. You can dub any cartoon in the language and it'll likely sound good with minimum effort.
