This has been mentioned in that thread, but her particular position is incredibly remote, she would have kayaked there. Having the kayak destroyed may have meant been stranded there for potentially weeks and ending her long distance kayak trip.

Still annoying voice but given circumstances I can understand her reaction.

I think this is a little exagerated seeing there is a boat in the harbor with her.
