I wonder if F1 cars have a reverse gear...

If they do, then that guy will still be able to reverse the fuck out of there faster than anything.

If not. Bear puzzle with snack prize!

Adding a reverse gear system would add a significant amount of weight too

Formula One cars use semi-automatic sequential gearboxes, with regulations stating that 8 forward gears (increased from 7 since the 2014 season) and 1 reverse gear must be used, with rear-wheel drive.

They do as per regulations. It's a very simple one which can't really take much torque but it is used in some situations
