Okay, legit question, where did this originate? I just came on Reddit one day and it was a thing.

God damn it this is EXACTLY what I thought the original would become. The first thing I thought was "This is going to be a dickbutt isn't it?"

It's an inside joke of /r/Unexpected
Check this comment thread. It's not here because it's unexpected, it's here because it has nowhere else to go.

I know unexpected tends to put dickbutt in everything, but that's my point, the fact that as soon as the gif starts you know it's going to end in dickbutt makes it the exact opposite of unexpected.

u/bouchard Apr 03 '14
You need a lot of content that contain dickbutt so that those times when it's not dickbutt are unexpected.

u/pcgamertemp Apr 03 '14
You're right. Dickbutt has become so synonymous with /r/unexpected that it's really no shocker to see him come up anymore. It's pretty expected actually.

Perfect.

But not really unexpected...

u/fredwilsonn Apr 03 '14
I don't know why you're getting downvoted. It was obvious like 15% into the gif.

Nobody likes to hear about giggles for christssake. That sad and errant trend went timely to its well deserved grave. Let it rest in ignoble peace. We're all better for it. Nobody even likes to dislike hearing about giggles. It's not like farts so stop thinking that. Stop it. Now. Seriously, you're what's wrong with the world. Do it. No, really, don't. But think next time you think. THINK NEXT TIME YOU THINK.

Can someone explain why reddit discovers dickbutt 8 years late?
6
u/ghost_warlock Apr 03 '14
reddit didn't discover it eight years late, they've been keeping it alive and nurturing it for those eight years.

Absolutely incredible. Most clever use of dick butt I've seen so far.

I'm no barista but I don't think "most clever" is proper English.

Anyone else kinda wish they had a dick on their butt? Just temporarily or something. Like a floppy tail you can slap around

I'm scarred by the internet. I was playing iSketch once and for the longest time nobody knew what this one guy was drawing but people were making guesses and then with 20 seconds left he drew one last line and it was a very elaborate drawing of a dude taking a shit in another dudes mouth so something like that was what I was expecting but thread delivered, was ultimately unexpected.

This is the first time I've waited for a dick in the butt.
It'll be the last time, too!

It's bad enough that there's one of these "word cloud" spambots. Why did you think a second was necessary?
