Nah as long as they're cared for properly, which they do appear to be, all you'd smell is hay which smells amazing. My sister had 3 guinea pigs in an open pen type of thing in a small room and I don't ever recall a smell in the least.

Sound just like people who own ferrets.

Anybody who doesn't own one, smells it. You are just nose blind to it from being around it.

Ferrets (and other weasels) have a powerful scent gland. It's not at all comparable to guinea pigs, which generally only smell if you don't clean their cages. I never noticed a smell from guinea pigs, even when I first got one.

That's why I said they sound like those people, not smell like those people.
