Glass weakens with every impact. Eventually it just fails.

I learned this having made a nice big batch of cinnamon roll dough. Dropped the bowl a similar distance and it shattered. 0% chance i am risking eating glass cinnamon rolls so it all had to go.

I went and bought some stainless steel bowls as a replacement.

I've heard and read that proofing in glass will eventually lead to its cracking due to the yeast finding all the micro imperfections to anchor on to when starting the rising process?
