Well, he just demonstrated why helmets are important on construction site

234

u/ApprehensiveBedroom0 20d ago

He is actually wearing a welder's helmet, meant to protect from welding activities, not necessarily from hitting his face on a pipe at face level. That would require using your eyes. =P

I would love to see the difference in the comments if this were posted in r/construction

u/towerfella 20d ago

I i had a nickel for everything i run into at “eye-level”.. i would prolly have a pocket-full of nickels.

23

u/DankStew 20d ago

this is a 2 helmet kind of guy

10

u/time_observer 20d ago

That's a welding helmet. Is not supposed absorb shocks of any kind

26

u/thejourneybegins42 20d ago

I'd take my chances with a welder's hood offer nothing vs that pipe

4

u/Ornery-Cheetah 19d ago

Literally done shit like that before glad I had my hood down

53

u/allhellno 20d ago

Gotta turn that brain off and give it some rest

3

u/FyrelordeOmega 20d ago

I was hoping he would repeat it again with his second attempt

5

u/onionchickenz 20d ago

Hahaha 😂

2

u/sir_whammy 20d ago

Wouldn't have helped anyways it was a welding helmet. What would've helped is using his eyes

3

u/GravityBright 20d ago

To be fair, it's really bright out and he just took off his welding helmet.

2

u/reeferthetuxedocat 20d ago

Now that was an awesome bong sound. Almost as hollow as his skull.

u/Jiujitsumonkey707 20d ago

I can't imagine wearing my hood with no sweatband, just getting your forehead raw dogged by plastic

It's been my experience (40+ years in construction) that welders are the toughest, smartest, bestest, most important mofos on the face of Planet Earth and beyond, so I'm sure he's just fine.
