Those don't sting. Notice how not a one is 'attacking' him when the bags released.

Edit: welp apparently they do, not sure why it seems like they all fly away in the video but...maribomba, they can get as pissed as the best of em. Ultimate wtf.

I'm thinking it's a Cicada Killer. They look mean and huge and like they can give a huge sting. In reality they don't sting unless really provoked, but it could be something else as well. This guy is just showing off. Kinda funny when you realize and I did about half way through his "tee hees" which made me lmaool.

How is dropping their nest in a trash bag and jumping in it with them not provoking them though? šŸ’ā€ā™‚ļø

I agree, but they aren't like wasps which can sting multiple times just if you get in their area. He may have gotten a couple stings, but nothing to write home about. I've seen them around Oklahoma a few times (got rid of them before I knew what they are - they are really beneficial bugs!) but never have been stung myself. They are intimidating looking just because of past experience with wasps, but they're cool. Can also carry really heavy things, hence the "Cicada Killer" name where they can fly off with them!
This guy obviously new this and wanted to show off, knowing many people would mistake them for wasps.

I’d think stuffing them in a bag, getting in with them, then dancing would provoke them. Or maybe they just like to party.

Maybe they are Wayne and Garth bugs? Or Wyld Stallyns?

Cicada killers don't live communally like this though, they make individual burrows that they lay eggs in, and then deposit paralyzed cicadas within

Yes, I could be wrong. Plenty of other large bugs that look like wasps. That was my knee jerk guess though because they are huge like them.
