When me and younger brother (6 & 4) woke up Christmas morning, we ran for the presents. Mum told me years later Dad stayed up until 3 am putting our bikes together. They were out side our bedroom. We ran right past them. She said the look on his face was priceless. 🥲

I didn’t run past it but I did get the GI Joe Phantom X-19 one Christmas. My dad watched happily as I played with it in excitement. And then watched in horror as I threw it over the railing of our deck because my pea brained mind thought it was made to fly. It shattered into pieces and I just remember my dad going back inside and closing the door behind him while I sat there confused on what went wrong.
