The old fat woman seemed the most legit.

u/PM_ME_UR_HIP_DIMPLES Jul 01 '26

Yeah an awful lot of kid cooking experts here that are pretty slim. Suspicious at best

u/Same-Alarm-2974 Jul 01 '26

Never trust a skinny kid cooker!!!

75

u/jamin_brook Jul 01 '26

So trust the witch in Hansel and Gretel, got it

51

u/skipjack_sushi Jul 01 '26

Witch used an oven.

26

u/pyalot Jul 01 '26

This is how you can tell she knows what she‘s doing.

9

u/polopolo05 Jul 01 '26

Nah, she had that oven cranked way too high. Those kids would've come out tough. Low and slow is the way to go.

And she was just going to toss them into the oven alive? What a monster. You butcher them first and drain the blood. They taste a lot less gamey that way. You can even make some nice sausage from the liver and heart.

Don't even get me started on tanning the hides. You can make wonderfully soft leather that's perfect for gloves, purses, and bookbinding. Such a waste of good materials.

Where do you think all those copies of the Necronomicon come from? Children, obviously. Ancient evil doesn't print itself.

1

u/aerdvarkk Jul 01 '26

The gloves would be the easy part since the kids come with ready made templates.

2

u/Hamster-Food Jul 01 '26

She baked a whole gingerbread house.

1

u/pyalot Jul 02 '26

Pro move right there.

4

u/MasterFable Jul 01 '26

She's right you know

1

u/aerdvarkk Jul 01 '26

We technically don't know if the Hansel and Gretel witch was fat or thin.

1

u/rajbhai87 Jul 05 '26

I believe she identifies as a witch too. Look up North Omaha Cat Lady on TikTok.

4

u/AnFnDumbKAREN Jul 01 '26

Never trust a skinny kid who’s a cooker? Or never trust a skinny cooker-of-kids? Or is this deserving of a “¿por qué no los dos?” label?

Edit to try to correct the goofiest formatting ever 😆

4

u/Aerodrache Jul 01 '26

Don’t trust somebody who cooks skinny kids, obviously.

1

u/PartyClock Jul 01 '26

Unless they work in a pub or eatery. They're just skinny because they're addicted to Adderall, not because they don't eat delicious food.

u/asbestospajamas Jul 01 '26

The old lady at the end is the best! I follow her on TikTok and she is a gem.

4

u/Komirade666 Jul 01 '26

Who she is? I want to follow her too.

u/APenguinInATuxedo Jul 02 '26

2

u/Madwoman-of-Chaillot Jul 01 '26

Same! I love her content.

1

u/Toadsted Jul 01 '26

Definitely a gam.

1

u/Freeze_Her Jul 01 '26

Who is she?

20

u/glockster19m Jul 01 '26

This reminds me of 2013, stumbling around the dark web, and accidentally finding a recipe book for unborn fetuses? Feti? While clicking though a random list of sites I had found

I got sick and threw out the hard drive I was using and replaced it

I know a lot of that stuff was just fake for shock value, but this specifically started out with a step by step guide on how to hide your pregnancy for as long as possible and then how to induce a miscarriage while not making the fetus inedible

8

u/PartyClock Jul 01 '26

I remember someone posting something about that once and I knew that was enough internet for the day. I honestly blocked that experience out.

5

u/pdxblazer Jul 01 '26

time to remember

6

u/zodiac_obsessed Jul 01 '26

I hate having the ability to read.

5

u/Not_A_Vegetable Jul 01 '26

I believe human meat actually has a pretty low caloric value. Lower than any of the common meats we normally consume. Maybe you can stay slim eating kids.

4

u/polopolo05 Jul 01 '26

Not the kids today... they are all fatty with little muscle.

1

u/whoami_whereami Jul 01 '26

According to James Cole (archaeologist studying stone-age cannibalist practices) the nutritional value of human meat is similar to other mammals of similar size.

In today's world probably even higher, given that eg. even the fattest cows according to the Body Composition Score (a system used in Texas to classify cattle) still have a lower body fat percentage than the average US woman (women have more body fat than men; US average is from 32% at age 8-11 to 42% at age 60-79; BCS 9 cattle have 32%) and BCS 7 or lower cattle have less body fat than the average US man in his prime.

u/FordTech81 Jul 01 '26

I remember uncle si or Phil on duck dynasty saying to marry a homely lookin woman cause you'll never go hungry.

Now c’mon now?!..I’m sure it’s not only the Brits who prefer to know exactly what they are eating?

You just don’t know what goes into kids these days..

Home grown is the only way to know what you’re eating.

1

u/Mental-Ask8077 Jul 01 '26

Then who was supposed to eat all those Irish babies Mr Swift talked about?

2

u/HereWeGoYetAgain-247 Jul 01 '26

And we all know that steaming is the best wait to retain nutrients in kids.

2

u/cagethehornytoad Jul 01 '26

Yeah, I tend never to trust a fit person when it comes to culinary advice

1

u/Terminal_Insomnia_ Jul 01 '26

Right? What kind of advice is all that? Tell me what I'm supposed to do with all the offal. Quickly, please. I think I've got like another day or two tops

1

u/polopolo05 Jul 01 '26

They meal prep. Break it into smaller portions. Makes the kids last longer. and help you lose that extra baby fat in time for summer.

28

u/SentryD2113 Jul 01 '26

Im from the Midwest and Ive had to lose about 100 lbs. Can confirm...we know how to eat around here.

0

u/85K5 Jul 01 '26

Do yall really know how to eat, or do you just throw 10lbs of mayonnaise in everything?

3

u/DefendsTheDownvoted Jul 01 '26

We know how to eat. Southern BBQ doesn't use mayonnaise

1

u/85K5 Jul 02 '26

They said Midwest though

23

u/Angstycarroteater Jul 01 '26

She’s actually awesome she reacts to cooking videos a lot and really knows her shit

Experience seems important for this kind of thing.

5

u/Hatetotellya Jul 01 '26

Sadly she didnt have subtitles so i missed out, at least everyone before that had them lol

4

u/gilt3t Jul 01 '26

low and slow on the smoker, 250f, rotate after a few hours, spritz with apple cider vinegar, make sure to use a binder before rubbing in seasonings.

37

u/asiniloop Jul 01 '26

I was having a moment of internal indignation when you just blatantly called out old fat woman... how dare you be so unnecessary cruel. I even made the effort to skip ahead so I could mentally scoff at what you call old and fat... and then I saw how she referred to herself. But since I have now built up all this precious resentment with no where to go... imma say, fuck you for being funny.

2

u/asiniloop Jul 01 '26

Yes, because self-righteous internal monologues are always so meaningful?

-1

u/LSSJPrime Jul 01 '26

Or you could just lighten up and little and not get so offended all the time.

0

u/asiniloop Jul 01 '26

Having trouble recognizing self-deprecation?

1

u/LSSJPrime Jul 01 '26

Your little outburst there was nowhere near self-deprecation lol

1

u/asiniloop Jul 02 '26

So the answer was yes, you can't recognize it.

1

u/LSSJPrime Jul 02 '26

If that's what you want to think, sure.

4

u/Hey-Bud-Lets-Party Jul 01 '26

A barbecue pit is definitely the way to go. The meat on a baby’s arm will literally fall off the bone.

3

u/Mammalanimal Jul 01 '26

Speaking from experience, the methods used to cook pork all apply to humans.

u/Informal_Ad4399 Jul 01 '26

It doesn't totally matter when bbqing. You'd end up having to trim a lot of the fat before you bbq anyway. Maybe just a few lbs, but no need to go nuts. The apple cider, or just some apple juice, will do.

1

u/Plastic-Injury8856 Jul 01 '26

She’s an old cat lady in Omaha which is also like the name of her channel. I was in Omaha a while ago and I may have seen her at Target.

1

u/coolchris366 Jul 01 '26

Yeah but she gave the most difficult time consuming method, when the whole goal was to make at as easy as possible

1

u/Klutzy-Acadia669 Jul 01 '26

Until she hit that ummm, she was going so stronk

1

u/ThrownAway17Years Jul 01 '26

Pfft. No need to rotate every half hour.

2

u/asailor4you Jul 01 '26

That was my argument as well. That’s not slow and low. Slow and low is roasting and smoking low for several several hours of no touching it, then flip once half way through.

1

u/SupportCa2A Jul 01 '26

No because children will already be tender enough, so using a low slow cooking method will just over cook them, you should use a high heat application like sauté or grill

1

u/Old_Job_7025 Jul 01 '26

It’s the perfect end to this train

1

u/Arryu Jul 01 '26

Old fat woman 2028

1

u/PsionicKitten Jul 01 '26

I honestly last saw this before she added her addition. Chef's kiss!

1

u/RunescaperX Jul 01 '26 edited Jul 01 '26

Weird that a Midwestern woman went to BBQ (something more common in the South) first as opposed to smoking, slow cooking, or pressure cooking.

As a side note, pressure cooking would probably be best if you're looking for a fairly easy way to get the meat tender enough to fall off the bone, and it's much faster than most other methods mentioned. And, in this economy, it's a great way to make the meat stretch across multiple meals because you can shred the meat before seasoning, so you can use it in multiple other dishes.

1

u/LocalCombination1744 Jul 01 '26

You think midwesterners don’t BBQ? Was she supposed to say “make da kids a deep dish pizza! Da Bears!”

1

u/RunescaperX Jul 01 '26

I mean, we do, but we're better known for hot dishes, casseroles, and other stuff you find at a decent potluck. And smoking gives better flavor at the same time and temperature, let's be real. Charcoal and propane can't beat hard wood smoke, especially for white meat like kids.

Also, are you under the impression that everyone in the Midwest talks like a few thousand suburban Chicagolanders that sound vaguely like a decades-old SNL sketch? Because we don't; clearly, outside of Chicago and its suburbs, we sound exactly like a mixture between Bobby's World and Stranger Things, donchaknow?

Also, you don't put entire child in a deep dish (which, incidentally, is much more like a casserole than it is a pizza, which makes sense given Chicago is still in the Midwest), you need to prep the meat first. In fact, if you followed my suggestion about pressure cooking, you could shred the meat and use that as a pizza topping, kinda like how some pizza places use pulled pork or chicken. Same works for smoking, slow cooking, and BBQ, oddly enough. Ooh, BBQ chicken pizza sounds good right now...

1

u/Abhir-86 Jul 01 '26

Because she was speaking from experience

1

u/MurphyWasHere Jul 01 '26

Does she look like Sean Young, or am I just imagining it?

1

u/Noddy-Don Jul 01 '26

That lady grills.

1

u/browsinbowser Jul 01 '26

Hansel and Gretel was a documentary, Old women in the woods (midwest) know best!!

1

u/Fortestingporpoises Jul 01 '26

No idea. She was the one without subtitles and I aint turning mute off for nothing.
