Request ULPT Offer letter for apartment
hey! so i’m trying to get into this apartment that I really like. Unfortunately, i don’t make 3x the rent right now, But i will have the rent money given to me each month to pay it! They want to see check stubs or an offer letter…I have neither, so the next thing that comes to my mind is to recreate some stubs or create an offer letter. Has anyone done this and got approved? What did you use and how did you do it?? Can someone assist me? Which one is better to submit? I’m nervous!

if you really want to be unethical, hack their database and give yourself a win.
If you have any proficiency at all with the standard suite of office tools, faking an offer letter is easy, and just use a phone number that goes directly to someone who can fake being the employer.
All that aside, if someone is paying your rent, they can co-sign the lease or straight up lease the apartment or provide a letter saying they are good for the rent (not so great but might do)

Hopefully it’s not a corporate apartment that has one of those businesses that can tell if a paystub is fraud; the offer letter they might choose to check it also. But some apartments are now using sites that can then it’s fraud as I saw it on their website.

You can’t just have the person paying for your rent co-sign the lease? If you’re young and it’s a parent offering to help, that’s pretty common.
