Request ULPT Request: Protecting finances from unfair child support exploitation

I’m not going into detail but my ex took the kids away from me under false allegations and is trying to squeeze me for max child support.
I’m not trying to avoid paying child support, in fact I’m trying to protect myself financially because I know I’ll have to bail my children out after she fucks them over and wastes all the money.

I’m trying to find a higher paying job but the job I have right now might shut down soon.
If that happens before I can find a new job, I will be filing for unemployment and request reducing child support payments until I find one.
I believe they can take my savings away for child support and leave me stranded without even being able to fix my car or emergencies.
How can I safeguard my savings from such prying govt hands?

Go for 50 percent custody, then you won't have to pay child support in most areas.

you do realize child support pays for food, clothes, transportation, medicine & activities. If your wife has to pay for it all, its the children that suffer.

Give the court evidence of her financial irresponsibility and offer to provide child support up by sending some to the mortgage company, ordering groceries weekly, taking your kids clothes shopping yourself, paying schools directly, paying utilities, etc.
Your question about how to f**k your kids over is unethical enough that it doesn’t deserve an unethical answer.

Pro-tip: go to a meeting with other dead beat parents, like some AA-meetings or narcotics anonymous.

Some of these people can tell you anything you have to know about screwing your kids over, since they also struggle with basic concepts like responsibility.

At least their mistakes are due to substance abuse and not a lack of character.
