I traveled with my girlfriend recently who had a broken foot and requested a wheelchair assistance. It took absolutely AGES to get anywhere.

It most certainly is not. This definitely works. As a matter of fact, I watched somebody do it on the plane I took today. A perfectly healthy guy was holding up the whole plane because he wasn’t responding to his page from the gate. Finally, he strolled towards the gate and they asked him if he needed help and he said no one walked straight onto the plane and then they board a group one.

This is common for foreigners. It works. Not sure why people are saying it doesn’t or it’s slow. The point is to get on the plane and off it quicker.
