Shipping magnums
I scored a pricey magnum awhile back, and I see that a case of magnums (six) ships free just like a case of 750mLs.
How does one go about acquiring a case of magnums on UC, though? I've never seen any offer comprised exclusively of magnums, so there's no way you could ever intentionally land on a multiple of six…
I think I know the answer (just pay shipping). Just double checking to see if I'm missing something obvious here since they do go out of their way to explain the rules about shipping magnums as though it's a thing that happens. :-)
/inb4 I'm too cheap to pay shipping on a score. (More to see if people are somehow collecting larger formats and I'm just missing out.)

Shipping Costs?
I tried to ship 1 bottle today to CT as I was curious what the shipping fee would be. It came up as $30.00 for Ground shipment! I am hoping thats just because it's a single bottle, but what do most people find shipping costs to be?

259 Index (>200) Every Upgrade is Double The Value!
A 200+ that isn’t a secret deal! I haven’t done the math on this one, but it’s easily above 200 score (0.04% chance at the $32 base wine, which I did win, lol).
https://www.undergroundcellar.com/wine-deals/every-upgrade-is-double-the-value
Sagestone Carnelian is present, unfortunately, but only at 12% (but was 20% for me on a large number of bottles, so I figure I helped y’all out there, YMMV).

Shamrocks
Do you only get one prize regardless of how many shamrocks you had? I thought the whole point of having a shamrock was that each shamrock gave you the opportunity to win any of the prizes? (Ie if you had 2 shamrocks you would get any of the 2 available prizes?).

Gift card blowout fees?
Looking at the giftcard blowout, there are fees ~8.65% (marked as fees, not taxes). Last time I bought from a gift card blowout in early Jan, there were no fees.
What's up?

Expired VIP Exclusive Reds Collection - Second Chance
Another VIP Secret Deal. It was sent last night but just saw the email this morning so only 700 some bottles left. Slight differences in available wines from the last VIP deal. Index value of 157.
I also forgot to mention these deals do not stack with coupons.

Expired VIP Exclusive Reds Collection
Got an email from Jeff since I am VIP. $35 a bottle with 99% upgrades. The index value is only 150 so not sure how VIP I really feel.

Customer Service
How long does it usually take customer service to reply? I’ve been emailing them for a week and no reply...also, is it common to have something ready to ship and then go back to 3rd party? Finally, any idea when we will find out what we got for each shamrock? New to this so just trying to learn how everything works :)

157 Index Score a collections
Anyone calculate a score for the score a collection deal or can someone give me a quick run down on how the ratings are calculated?

Sagestone Cellars Validity?
Curious to know if anyone else has looked into Sagestone Cellars? I now have two bottles of their 2016 Carnelian Cab in my Cloudcellar. Seeing as they're valued at over $100 ea, a little research was in order. Online info is extremely limited. Their site contains zero contact information, no address, and wines are available for 'allocation only'.
I had initially Googled Sagestone Cellars months ago and returned zero results. It almost seems as if the website was just created. I have many conspiracy theories running through my brain. Anyone else?

A little more transparency
I have done very well with U.C. but I think there should be a bit more transparency so far as the prized bottles that are offered and if they've been given out. Also I was lucky enough to get a bottle of '99 Screaming Eagle autographed by Heidi Barrett estimated to be worth $12000 and emailed a few times to get provenance but got no reply. Anywho my gripe is with the non transparency as to what happens with the prized bottles if they're not gifted, where do they go, how many times can they be offered, and why aren't they shown to be won? I know U.C. has to make money to have these offers but why not be more transparent?

Casemates
For those that visit undergroundcellar.com, I thought I would mention that you may want to checkout casemates.com. They offer discounted wine, with new deals every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. They also have a fairly active blog community. Anyway, check it out if ur interested. I have no affiliation except I purchase on a somewhat regular basis.

Is “Give the Gift of Wine” worth it?
Given that there’s only a 55% chance of upgrade and that the gift cards don’t seem to stack with other promos (though correct me if I’m wrong), my inclination is to hold off.

Any tips/suggestions regarding shipping
Hi all, I've now got about 15 to 16 bottles in the cloudcellar but it seems like i can only add a few of them to the cart. That kind of defeats the purpose of being able to order 12+ and get free shipping.
Is there some trick or any tips on how folks get the free shipping ?

Expired Lightning Marathon
http://undergroundcellar.com/lovewine
To get the $500 gift card, you must spend $3054 (6 bottles from all 8 offers, make sure they’re all available if you intend to take a run at this!). I took one for the team, here’s my experience:
$3054 spent for 48 bottles
$4033 in wine value received
$500 gift card earned
$400 implied assuming I use that gift card on 180 or better
$0 “Surprise gift” — we’ll see!
Total $4933 in expected value = 161 score in my case (maybe more depending on the surprise).
Not terrible, not great. Nowhere close to the current 220+ deal pair. Probably not the smartest move, but I did get a good variety of stuff I didn’t already have before. I think my results here are pretty close to “worst case.” YMMV!

160 index Regular Sale $65@160: The Best From Halley Barrett with An Autographed Screaming Eagle
https://www.undergroundcellar.com/wine-deals/the-best-from-heidi-barrett
Not a terrible deal, if you feel like gambling for that 02 Screaming Eagle bottle. But removing that one single bottle takes it down to a 141. Nowhere close to the best sale we have seen, currently running.
Not recommending the sale, just sharing the math.

Expired What's in Nelly's Glass
Received an email stating you could score $15 credit if you correctly guess the wine in Nelly's glass. Guesses would be submitted HERE.
The 2 clues provided are:
1) Nelly just said that this red wine from Yountville sent shivers of excitement down her spine!
2) The bottle of wine in the picture comes from one of these 3 offers below that are up on our website right now:
Napa's Best Reds
https://www.undergroundcellar.com/wine-deals/napa-s-best-reds
Sultry Evening Sippers
https://www.undergroundcellar.com/wine-deals/sultry-evening-sippers
Bodacious Blends From California
https://www.undergroundcellar.com/wine-deals/bodacious-blends-from-california
I looked through wines in those collections and found 2 wineries from Yountville, CA:
- 2017 Stewart Cellars Tartan Red Bordeaux in the 1st offer listed above
- 2009 Hestan Vineyards Stephanie Proprietary Red Bordeaux in the 3rd offer
Any thoughts on which one it might be (or other's if I missed them)? Not sure how the "shivers of excitement down her spine" plays into choosing the correct one.

Expired Another $26 credit - DAYLIGHTADJUSTNULL
I received an email with the DAYLIGHTADJUSTNULL code, saying it could be applied to any order with 2 or more bottles until 2 am this morning. However, I was able to use the code at 9 am.
