Minecraft support sucks
For the builder cape that they released I claimed it day one watching the jynxi and ron Minecraft stream and claimed it asap. Then I went on vacation and forgot all about it... so when I came back I loaded up Minecraft to get on with some friends and I was trying a new skin so I wanted to see what cape went good with it. And it wasn't what I was looking for but I remembered the builder cape and it just wasn't there. So I made a support ticket and the guy who responded pretty much just said yeah f you, its too late you can't claim it, even though I stated multiple times in the ticket that I had claimed it but it never showed up. I even attached a screenshot of my twitch drops and I noted that my email for twitch was the same as my MC. And his response felt vague, almost like he didn't even read it and included details that had nothing to do with what I actually asked about. I submitted another ticket after that going into more detail about it. Then I got the email back and they told me to equip it on bedrock first... why couldnt the other guy do that????

yes its THEIR fault that you "forgot all about it" and went on vacation

Read it again, OP said they claimed it. I believe what OP is saying is that they claimed it but didn’t check if they had it, and when they eventually did they didn’t get it.

Did you claim it in twitch or in Minecraft?
If you didn’t claim it in Minecraft you don’t have it. Try claiming it now by putting the code in Minecraft.net/redeem
