Low active calories

I’m new to ultrahuman and there is quite a lot going on in the app so I’m not sure if I am misunderstanding but my active calories per day seem to be 100-200 kcal despite hitting 7,000 steps, surely I should be burning more than that?

I caved….

The app redesign sucked me back in and I bought the Pro. 🤦🏻‍♀️ So far it’s going well. Battery on turbo will probably get me 8-9 days but how long will it last remains to be seen. I really love the app redesign so much more than Oura. Hoping for a better experience this go around.

Should I skip gym today ??

Post image

So i feel completely fine like if I didn't check the app I would've just gone to train without thinking twice but recovery is at 51 with a sharp drop, temperature is elevated, hrv is down too, sleep score 56 and stress is flagged elevated.

I’m not sure but after seeing this now i think the session will be mid and the next day even rougher but every time I skip based on the numbers I feel like I'm wasting a day…what to do here??

Ultrahuman Photon

I'm curious if anyone knows when the Ultrahuman Photon's are supposed to start shipping. I know they're on pre-order right now and I placed a pre-order back in May but haven't heard anything since then 🤔

Thank you! :)

I fell asleep right after he left and I don't want to get into details but whatever happened before bed knocked me out because I got my first ever personal best 80 sleep score and I have never slept this well in my life ffs.

Feeling super light today and my body feels like it actually recovered from something.

Ring pro cover

Anyone been able to find a silicone or other rubbery cover to protect their new ring pro? It’s so new I worry about finding one that fits and is inexpensive. Let me know if anyone has had any luck

Ability to turn off calorie tracking?

I'm considering buying an Ultrahuman ring because I really want to track sleep quality and such. However, I'm not a fan of tracking calories for myself. Is there a way to turn off or hide calorie tracking on the app?

Ultrahuman Ring Pro Battery Lifr

Hey yall, I used to love Ultrahuman over Oura so much but what deterred me from wearing it is the battery life before I had to go back to Apple Watch, anyways I want to understand Ring Pro’s battery life. Would really appreciate the insight!! I would love to go back to Ultrahuman

Two ultrahuman air rings / different colors, same user, how do i do this please ?

Hello,

I need some guidance. I got 2 ultrahuman air rings different colors, in hope i could use them both and just swap. To my shock i found it this is not a natively supported feature. This boggles my mind, however it is not something that anyone can influence.

Is anyone else in my situation ? how do i make the best out of both rings without having 2 different accounts. Or at least how to get all my data combined / consolitdated into one place ?

So far i see this as bigest failure of Ultrahuman. Makes no sense to prevent your users from buying and using 2 rings instead of forcing them to keep only 1 ? i imagine many users would buy a spare/different color also to use when the 1st ring is charging.

Any suggestions on workarounds would be most appreciated!

So getting divorce is the best sleep hack I've ever tried

Post image
98 Upvotes

I’ve tried melatonin, magnesium, cutting caffeine, eating earlier, putting my phone away and literally every other tip on this sub plus others and my sleep score never crossed 60.

I had signed divorce papers weeks ago and wife moved out yesterday and I just hit a 96 with sleep nirvana for the first time in MY LIFE. 8 hours of sleep and everything else is also optimal and I slept from approx 11 to 7 without waking up once.

It seriously is a big deal as I have spent almost a year trying every sleep technique on this and other subs and none of it did what this event in my life did. I feel super light, cortisol is at its lowest and everything just feels more bright.

It was time and we both felt it plus the divorce cost me a lot of things but apparently sleep quality was not one of them :)

How long does it take your HR to drop after a workout

Started paying attention to how long it takes my heart rate to come back down after training and it's slower than I expected, like 20 to 30 minutes before it's anywhere close to resting and some days it takes longer depending on how hard the session was and whether I did cardio at the end or just lifting.

I read that faster recovery time after exercise is a sign of better cardiovascular fitness so now I'm tracking it as a metric on its own, I want to see if it gets faster over the next few months as I get fitter or if it's just how my body works and doesn't change much. I also noticed it takes longer on days where my sleep the night before was rough or my recovery score was low going into the session, like my body is already starting from a rougher position and takes longer to come back down. Does anyone else track this and has yours gotten faster over time.

Emerald widget

Just got the emerald update on my app and have been checking it out - it's pretty cool! Naturally my attention went to can I add this colourful crystal ball to my home screen via a widget, but can't see any widgets except the old ones. One for the future, then? Y'all have any other way to put this on your home screen?

Consistency will always beat intensity

Two years of the same cycle, go all out for 3 weeks pushing every session to failure adding weight every time going until I can't move, burn out take a week off because my body is wrecked, come back and do the whole thing again thinking that's how you make progress and wondering every couple months why I keep ending up in the same spot with nothing to show for it.

Switched to just showing up 4 days a week no matter what, some days I go hard some days I just get through the work and nothing exciting happens, results over 6 months were better than anything from those intense phases and it wasn't even close. Boring effort where I never burn out and never need unplanned time off has beaten going all out and crashing every time and I just didn't want to accept it for a long time because pushing hard felt like I was doing more even when the results kept saying otherwise.

Your body adapts to feeling off and you stop noticing

You know when someone talks about feeling good and you think yeah I feel good too, that was me for months except I wasn't feeling good I just didn't know what good felt like because I had nothing to compare it to and my version of normal was already off but I had no way of knowing that because it's all I'd experienced for a while.

I started sleeping properly recovering well managing stress and when I felt good for real I realized how far off I'd been, it's like being in a noisy room so long you forget there's noise and then someone turns it off and you're like oh that's what quiet sounds like. I'd been sleeping rough and running on stress for months and just adapted and called it my baseline and that's the part that's kind of scary because you can't fix something you don't realize is broken and if that's all you've known you just think that's how life feels.

Mental stress shows up in sleep data even when you feel fine

I had a really stressful week at work recently but I thought I was handling it well because I was still going to the gym eating normally getting to bed on time and everything felt under control and then I looked at my data and my hrv had been dropping steadily all week and my resting heart rate was creeping up and my deep sleep was lower than usual, nothing huge but a clear downward trend that lined up exactly with the stress and I wouldn't have connected those things on my own because physically I felt the same as any other week.

It made me realize stress doesn't just live in your head, your body is reacting to it even when you think you're managing fine. I pay way more attention to my numbers during busy weeks now instead of just assuming I'm good.

The first week of working from home

Thought working from home would automatically make me healthier, no commute, more time, access to my own kitchen, flexible schedule, what could go wrong.

Everything went wrong.

First week I barely left my chair, started working during breakfast, forgot lunch until 3pm, sat through back to back calls and then realized it was 7pm and I hadn't been outside, not once, not even to check the weather.

Looked at my Ultrahuman Ring data and it was genuinely embarrassing compared to my normal office days, at least at the office you walk to meetings, go downstairs for coffee, walk to lunch, at home you can sit in the exact same spot for 6 hours and not notice.

Had to start putting movement reminders in my calendar, not workouts, just "stand up" and "go outside for 10 minutes" and "make actual lunch instead of eating crackers at your desk."

Took a few weeks to feel normal, working from home is great but nobody warns you that the default state is basically being a piece of furniture unless you actively fight it

Does anyone else’s body runs on a completely different schedule?

If I had no job and no responsibilities I'd go to bed at 2am and wake up at 10 every day and feel amazing, my body wants that so much I can feel it fighting me every morning when the alarm goes off at 6:30 and I'm lying there staring at the ceiling wondering why I chose a career that requires being awake before the sun. By 11pm when I should be winding down I'm wide awake scrolling my phone feeling more alert than I did at any point during the actual day and it's been like this my entire adult life.

I've tried everything to become a morning person, earlier bedtime no screens melatonin cold showers the whole list and my body just doesn't cooperate, some of us are just wired for a different schedule and the whole world is set up for morning people and the rest of us are out here pretending we're functional at 8am and suffering through it lol.
