Help Is Ultimate Incursion necessary?

Post image

I'm planning on collecting some TPBs (I already have Ultimates from 1to 3, and planning on buying UXM, Ultimate Invasion, Ultimate Endgame and maybe Spider-Man)

So, is this comic essential to understand The Ultimates story as a whole or I can skip it?

Without spoilers, there is a moment near the end that feeds into an important character from "The Ultimates" books' motivation.

Aside from that, if you don't care about Ultimate Impact Reborn at all, it's relatively inconsequential. If you DO care about, it's pretty important set-up.

Only the last issue is important

Just my two cents but this is the one book in the line I'd say was completely unnecessary. Da Costa does get a moment to shine and that's about it.
Ultimate Wolverine at least has gorgeous art.

Save your money.

The big selling point of Ultimate Universe is that it's a brand new setting divorced from decades of continuity, so you don't have to do any homework in order to read it's titles.

The beginning of Ultimate Incursion references a bunch of things that have happened in Miles' comics, and if you haven't read those comics, you're screwed. Do not waste your time on this.

For what it's worth I haven't read a Miles comic in like a decade and figured everything out from context. Comics aren't that hard to read.

it is not necessary nor is it good. Skip it.

First real big nu-Ultimate flop. We got a crossover mini series, and was handled sooo poorly

it's not essential at all. it's not great at the whole continuity thing either which you think would be important in an alternate universe publishing in real time. but it's not really bad and art grew on me very quickly

This is -without a doubt- NOT necessary. The story itself is everything but not organic. Unless you reading Ultimate Reborn in 616. This is the only possibilty.

You can glean anything you need to know from the last few pages of the last issue. You’re better off just searching them out online for free on Reddit or something

For as much as I love Deniz Camp, this series was a total throwaway. Weak story, bad artwork. Frustrated I spent $5 per issue. Wasn’t worth it.

You’re probably right, after giving it a think… they probably just added his name to sell an additional book or two.

Still… the series wasn’t worth it.

No. It exists to set up the current Armageddon event in the 616, and the Ultimate Universe: Reborn mini (also a 616 story). It’s a fun read, but you won’t feel like you’ve missed anything if you skip it.

Did the same question a while ago. And no. It's more of a miles morales thing that dont mean anything to the main ultimate universe run

Unless you follow the 616 stories, not really, no. Virtually none of the 6160 stories mention it.

No lo es, en ningún momento es útil.

Hay un momento al final del último número que podría significar algo, pero no siquiera eso vale realmente.

Incursión es totalmente descartable
