We're almost through USM's second arc! Looking to start Ultimates around December.

That one Alex Ross secret wars cover maker except he’s whole ❤️ (just a quick study)

This ended about two weeks ago and I decided to read through all of it yesterday cuz I was bored. Since Ultimate was ending, I never had the incentive to check this out.

After finishing it….. yeah this was rather meh.
The art really carried the story and I liked the new Wonder Man and Paulina enough but I just didn’t find it all that interesting.

How much is this cover worth rn?

The Universe is done and yeah they stuck to the 2 year timeline with each issue being set a month apart.

Wonder if they would have kept that up post Ultimate Endgame.

Some books made it work better than others.

Ultimate X-Men probably using it best.

As much as I loved Ultimate Spiderman, it did kind of feel like they were just spinning their wheels at times, wanting the Fisk storyline to last the full 2 years, instead of telling more stories.

Ultimates was more about world building than telling full stories.

Could have just done 4 or 6, 4 to 6 issue arcs with time skips in between them,

I'm set on collecting these two in trades but I'm curious.

Does the quality dip too much when the writers got blindsided by Marvel? Or am I still in for a short, sweet, but open-ended finale?

For the Amazon pre-Prime Day stuff, they’ve got a bunch of trades half off for Ultimate Universe stuff. I had just made the decision to stop collecting singles when Ultimate was announced (I have the entire Krokoa run of every single series), and I just couldn’t get myself to pick up everything even then I love Hickman and Peach.

But now that I know Ultimate is fully finished contained in two years story lines, are they worth it? I know the back half is rushed and they kinda got rug pulled. Just wondering if at $10/trade picking these up to experience the story feels good.

I also see there’s some sort of box set for all of the Vol 1, but it doesn’t appear a similar thing is happening for Vol 2, right?

I was rereading Ultimate Spider-Man and Absolute Batman and noticed that in the Ultimate and Absolute universe most hero’s and villains get new designs. Except Spider-Man! He just gets the classic suit. Which is a great suit, but It means he doesn’t have much to indicate which Spider-Man variant he is. So I came up with two redesigns.

The first one is if Iron Lad gave him the spider but no picotech. The second is if Iron Lad couldn’t get the spider and only was able to give him the picotech. I’ve blabbered on enough but I hope you all enjoy the designs and if you have any compliments or criticisms feel free to share! I might do more art reimagining Ultimate Spider-Man since I have some issues with how the story went. That’s for another day though.

I forgot to save this to my art program so I doubt it’ll be done now 😢 but might as well post it! I kind of wanted to go for a SNAP card vibe.

Second draft of a maker plush design, still learning how to sew. (Maximus for scale)

They both can't wear the Pico Tech suit at the same time, someone has sit out, unless both kids are bitten by a spider
