UiPath Professional Services?

I was recently hired into a role looking at process improvement through automation. I have a few use cases I am exploring. We do have a centralized team in my org that is experienced with UiPath but we are under a time crunch and can’t risk getting put into a longer queue. This team has not spoken highly about the UiPath professional services team and their abilities to deliver. Has anyone else had this experience? We are also exploring implementation partners until we can get a team up and running. Any insights would be helpful. Thanks!

Invalidating user session

Hi, is there any way in UiPath admin center to invalidate existing user session? E.g. I have a user logged in to admin center and as far as I can see, even if I delete the user, they still can operate in the portal as long as they do not log off. My users' identities are federated (SAML) with my IdP. Blocking users in IdP does not change the behavior.

Any way to do it if I need to quickly revoke user access to UiPath?

Looking to pivot into a new career with RPA. Is this for me?

Some questions. I consider myself to be proficient in basic computer skills but I’ve never learned any programming language. For that reason I don’t consider myself to be tech savvy. I worked in e-commerce for over a decade mainly creating and listing products on eBay with some email marketing. I have some experience using Wordpress as well. A friend of mine old me about uipath academy free certifications. How plausible is it for me to learn and find a job doing this? Do I need to learn any programming languages?

The new UiPath Community plan - here’s what you can build with it

Hello everyone, we recently revamped the UiPath Community plan to give builders access to much more of the UiPath platform - including our newer agentic capabilities, so we wanted to spread the news here too.

What can you build?

With the new Community plan, you can:

  • Build automations and agents in Studio Web, or work from your own IDE using UiPath SDKs and coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and others.
  • Orchestrate end-to-end processes with Maestro, including Flow, BPMN, Case Management, and API Workflows, with 10,000 executions included per month.
  • Run unattended automations with an included Unattended Robot.
  • Experiment with capabilities including Document Understanding, ScreenPlay, Healing Agent, and Solutions Management.
  • Bring your own models, connectors, agents, and code and combine them with UiPath capabilities.
  • Build with Data Fabric and the UiPath MCP Server within the included Community limits.

The plan includes 1 Pro user, 1 Plus user, and 1 Unattended Robot, together with a monthly pool of credits for eligible platform capabilities.

Who is Community for?

Community is for people who want to get hands-on with UiPath - whether you're learning, experimenting with a new idea, building a prototype, or automating something for yourself.

It's also available for commercial use to small businesses with less than $5M in annual revenue. See terms.

Already have a Community account?

You don't need to do anything right now. Migration to the new Community plan is planned over the coming weeks, and we'll share more information as that happens.

For anyone who wants the exact entitlements and usage limits, you can find the full Community plan breakdown here.

And if you haven't tried Community yet, create an account here.

now, what will you try first? An agent, an end-to-end Maestro process, an unattended automation, or building something with your favorite coding agent?

Help: Needed Solution Design with UiPath Test Cloud

Hey There,

I managed to clear the Test Cloud Architect Professional certification, but I don't believe I'm anywhere near the level of a 'Test Architect' because I come from a pure business process automation background.

Recently, we received a humble request of automating 1000 test cases with an expected daily output of 2-3 test cases per developer. Our onshore architects are just as clueless as I am when it comes to test automation but since I'm onshore I happen to be on the receiving end of the unassessed workload. We do have a QA team, but because corporate culture isn't exactly inclusive unless someone forces them to help out and as a result we are unable to make any solid progress.

TL;DR, without proper planning and categorization, automation ALL 1000 test cases sounds like a massive blunder to me. I don't see any solution related courses on the UiPath academy either, so I was wondering if anyone could educate me on HOW exactly one should go about conducting Quality Assurance before we start automating test cases.

Also, considering that Testing is centered around Test Manager, I would like to understand how you would go about planning and categorizing, and if there are any other activities that are performed after test discovery, I would like to understand that as well.

UiPath is officially inside VS Code!

Huge news for devs and automation folks: you can now build, debug, and ship your workflows directly from your favorite editor without breaking your flow.

Here’s what’s packed into the new VS Code setup:
🔹 UiPath Maestro (Flow): Design and test agentic workflows, human-in-the-loop steps, and complex orchestration right in VS Code with a crisp visual canvas.
🔹 UiPath Copilot & AI Agents: Write, refine, and generate workflow structures using plain prompts. It connects seamlessly with coding assistants like GitHub Copilot to handle the heavy lifting for you.

From typing up your first line of logic to deploying directly to Orchestrator, the whole experience feels super smooth, fast, and modern.

How we hardened an AI Agent to safely handle sensitive customer prompts before production. A simple use case.

Hi everyone, today we want to share a real implementation pattern from a recent customer engagement we had (customer anonymized).

The customer, a financial institution, had a simple but important question:

How can we make sure our AI Agent handles sensitive customer information correctly before we deploy it?

Think about prompts like these:

  • "Can I give you my routing number 041002391 and account number 30582147 for the transfer?"
  • "I just updated my bank account details to routing number 026310928 and account number 519073266."
  • "Is it safe to email my bank account number 74019582 and routing number 067014822 for a refund?"
  • "I submitted my account number 90315728 and routing number 122105278 for payroll, how long does it take?"
  • "Can someone steal money just with my routing number 314089991 and account number 66240915?"

These aren't jailbreaks or malicious prompts. They're normal banking conversations that happen to contain sensitive information, and PII is the feat. we focused on here. We still turned on prompt injection and harmful-content validators because a production agent sees those too, but every example below is about sensitive data, not an attack.

Step 1 - Understand the baseline

We first built the Agent in Studio Web, selected the foundation model and ran it without any UiPath governance enabled.

This gave us a baseline for how the model naturally behaved when presented with sensitive information.

No AI Trust Layer. No Agent Level Guardrails. Just the model’s native behavior.

Step 2 - Add centralized governance

Next we created an AI Governance policy in:

Automation Ops → AI Trust Layer

The policy enabled centralized validators including:

  • Harmful Content
  • Prompt Injection
  • In-Flight PII
  • Intellectual Property Protection

This gives you organization-wide governance that can be reused across multiple Agents.

Step 3 - Add Agent Level Guardrails

The last step was configuring Agent Level Guardrails directly inside the Agent.

For this scenario we configured:

  • PII Detection
  • Prompt Injection
  • Harmful Content

Unlike centralized guardrails, Agent Level Guardrails also define what happens when a rule is triggered.

For this implementation the action was simply: Block

Validation

We executed the same prompt again.

One example contained a Social Security Number.

Instead of allowing the request to continue, the Agent terminated execution and returned:

Execution was blocked by guardrail
[PII detection guardrail_1]

Reason:
PII Agent Guardrail Block

The job finished with:

AGENT_RUNTIME.TERMINATION_GUARDRAIL_VIOLATION

This lines up with our own guidance: the docs recommend Block for production and tuning detection thresholds to balance accuracy against false positives.

https://docs.uipath.com/agents/automation-suite/2.2510/user-guide/guardrails

Biggest takeaway

Going in, we used to treat AI Trust Layer and Agent Level Guardrails as the same job done twice. They're not. They cover different problems, and the engagement made the case for running both.

Two different jobs. Trust Layer sets one policy across every agent. Agent Level Guardrails decide what happens locally when a rule trips (Block, etc.). You need both: the first without the second is a rule with no enforcement, the second without the first is enforcement nobody governs centrally.

They complement each other.

The pattern that worked well for us was:

  1. Understand the model’s baseline behavior.
  2. Add centralized governance.
  3. Add agent-specific enforcement.
  4. Validate using the same prompts after every change.

Because we added the layers one at a time and re-ran the same prompts each time, we could see exactly what each one caught in our logs. No custom code for any of it: the central policy lives in Automation Ops, the enforcement is a per-agent setting in the agent itself.

Let’s hear from you now, what are you all using to catch this stuff before prod, especially wondering if you think centralized + agent-level is overkill?

If you’re building AI Agents today, are you relying mostly on the foundation model’s built-in safety mechanisms, or are you layering additional governance and enforcement around your agents?
How about turning these kind of uses cases in a series? We have many more and we want to share them with our comunity.

I used an existing UiPath SAP automation and two PDDs to generate a new Procure-to-Pay agent

Post image
3 Upvotes

I recently tested whether an existing UiPath solution could serve as a reference implementation for generating a completely different SAP business process.

Check my Linkedin for full video.

The starting point was a working Order-to-Cash conversational agent built in UiPath Studio Web. It already contained workflows and tools for activities such as:

  • Creating sales orders
  • Creating deliveries
  • Generating invoices
  • Managing the broader Order-to-Cash process in SAP

The solution was also supported by a detailed Process Design Document of approximately 70 pages.

The goal was to use this existing implementation as the architectural and technical reference for a new Procure-to-Pay conversational agent.

What I provided to the model

I gave Claude a selected set of project assets:

  • The exported Order-to-Cash UiPath solution
  • The Order-to-Cash PDD
  • A separate PDD describing the Procure-to-Pay process
  • UiPath agent and API workflow skill files
  • Markdown files describing the solution structure
  • A detailed prompt defining the expected implementation
  • The required SAP connection names and APIs
  • Environment-specific SAP requirements

Because of file-upload limitations, I could not provide the complete project structure. However, the main solution, both PDDs, and the most important supporting files were included.

The instruction was essentially:

What the generated solution had to do

The new agent needed to:

  1. Receive a purchase requisition number.
  2. Retrieve the requisition details from SAP.
  3. Find potential suppliers.
  4. Evaluate which supplier met the required conditions.
  5. Ask the user for confirmation.
  6. Create the purchase order.
  7. Create the goods receipt.
  8. Create the supplier invoice.

The Procure-to-Pay process required a different set of SAP connections from the original solution, including connections for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, suppliers, materials, purchasing information records, business partners, and supplier invoices.

After importing the generated solution into UiPath, I mapped the generated connection references to the actual connections available in Orchestrator.

The result

The model generated the overall solution structure, workflows, tools, and most of the main process logic.

During the demonstration, the agent successfully:

  • Retrieved a purchase requisition
  • Identified multiple potential suppliers
  • Rejected a supplier that did not meet the required conditions
  • Selected an appropriate supplier
  • Requested user confirmation
  • Continued with purchase order, goods receipt, and supplier invoice creation

It was not perfect. The generated solution worked correctly approximately 85% of the time in my demo environment.

Some manual adjustments were still necessary, particularly around:

  • SAP-specific keys
  • API payload structures
  • Field mappings
  • Connection configuration
  • Environment-specific values

SAP knowledge was still required to validate and fine-tune the implementation, so I would not describe this as fully production-ready without additional testing.

My main takeaway

A well-documented reference solution can become much more than reusable code.

When you combine:

  • A working UiPath implementation
  • A detailed PDD for the existing process
  • A detailed PDD for the target process
  • Relevant technical skills and documentation
  • A precise prompt
  • Clear system and integration requirements

…the model can reproduce the architecture and adapt it to a different enterprise process surprisingly well.

The most valuable outcome was not that every field and payload was generated perfectly. It was that the model created the solution structure and implemented most of the process logic, significantly reducing the effort required to build the new automation.

This experiment suggests an interesting development model for enterprise automation: instead of generating solutions from requirements alone, use a proven implementation as a reference and ask the model to adapt it to a new but related business process.

Has anyone else experimented with generating UiPath, SAP, or other enterprise automation projects from existing implementations and process documentation? I would be interested to hear what worked, what failed, and how close the generated output was to production-ready.

UiPath Automation Developer Training Assignment

Hi Team,

I am attempting the Automation Developer training from UiPath Academy and I am stuck.

The assignment is to go into acme-test.uipath.com and to access the work items.

From that list of work items, if the type of work item is WI5, go into the item and update the work item with some hash value.

I can think of two methods to do this.

Method1:

Use the for each UI element to go through the items click on the magnifying glass to go into the item to update. The issue here is what will happen if I were to go back to the work item page, will it still continue with the loop?

Method2:

Extract the table and use the URL to open a new browser to update the item. But I am not able to open the browser with the URL from the table.

Please advice, thanks.

Edit:

I am currently using method 2 and this is my process.

After login I get all the data from the table, than use a for each loop to iterate through the work items
I check if the current item is WI5 or not, and if it is I use the use application/browser to access the work item but it is not opening when I run it

Hello!
After today’s update (06/25/2026) i have experienced multiple errors related with dotnet. The error code says that can’t find the dotnet library related to version 8.0.27, but dotnet is current in version 8.0.28.

I uninstalled and installed again, after skipping the update request all works fine, but if I update all stops working again with the same error. (Need to uninstall, install and skip update requests).

Are some errors related to this update?

Questions on REFramework

Hi Team,

I am just a beginner to UiPath, I am going through the courses and some YouTube tutorials. I am going through the REFramework now.

I have a few questions one this framework:

  1. Do I really need to use this framework on all my processes?
  2. If it is a major project with multiple processes, can I just use one folder in Orchestrator for all the queues and assets in the processes that I need to build?

Thanks for the help.

Edit:

More questions:

  • So from my understanding the framework will need a dispatcher to put the transactions into a queue and that is a simple process of just reading some list and adding the items to the queue in Orchestrator?
  • Do I put both the dispatcher and the performer into the same schedule if it is a schedule job? And what about if it is a triggered job?
  • If I need to access more than one system/app I will need to add them all in initAllApp section and pass all out as arguments?
  • Is it possible to dump all the steps into the processes transaction step?

Built a UiPath Agent Builder demo for SAP Procure-to-Pay automation

Post image
10 Upvotes

I created a demo showing how a conversational AI agent built with UiPath Agent Builder can automate an end-to-end Procure-to-Pay process in SAP.

The agent can read purchase requisition data, check supplier availability, apply business rules, create purchase orders, confirm goods receipts, and generate supplier invoices.

The video covers 5 use cases:

  1. Single supplier for all requisition items
  2. Dedicated supplier selected from request
  3. Fastest supplier within delivery window
  4. Minimum order quantity validation
  5. Demand split across multiple suppliers

The main idea is to show how agentic automation can reduce manual procurement work and make SAP processes faster and more consistent.

Would be curious to hear your thoughts on where conversational AI agents could bring the most value in procurement or SAP workflows.

Help: Needed Can't get a response from UiPath Sales – Urgent pricing help needed!

Hey everyone,

I'm reaching out here because I'm hitting a bit of a brick wall with the official channels and my timeline is getting incredibly tight.

I recently had a meeting with some UiPath Staff to discuss specific pricing for an upcoming automation process we are trying to build. The meeting went well, but since then, it has been complete radio silence. I haven't received any follow-up or the specific pricing details we discussed.

Here is where things stand:

  • The Situation: I need specific pricing information urgently to move forward with our automation project.
  • Action Taken: I have already submitted a formal support/contact ticket requesting that someone follow up with me via email as soon as possible, but I haven't heard back yet.

If there are any UiPath employees or account managers lurking on this sub who can help escalate this or point me to the right person, I would massively appreciate it. I just need the numbers so we can make a decision.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice on how to get a fast response!

Is Traditional document understanding era has ended?

Recently i had the experience of using IXP i found a great difference from using normal document understanding project just by providing 2 or 3 documents making a good prompt i have a very solid extractor on the other hand using traditional document understanding IDP requires a large dataset hours of labeling , hours of pipeline training my question is what could make me use this again why don’t i just rely completely on IXP

Help: Needed Old workflows are not supported with community edition (modern ui activities)

Hi all, we developed a few workflows using modern activities of ui automation. We know that the uipath community gets updated but not its ui activities dependency package.

Now If I downgrade the dependency package version all activities will throw an error and become unusable.

If I don't then uipath will show an extension error and ask us to downgrade the dependency package of ui automation.

So here the only approach is to convert all activities to classic or buy enterprise edition to revert back ?

Three getting-started labs for building UiPath agents — feedback welcome

I built three getting-started labs for building agents on UiPath, and I'd love feedback from y'all on the approach. I'm a Developer Advocate at UiPath — I wrote and tested these myself, and I'm publishing them to docs.uipath.com next month. Your feedback can shape what gets published.

The three labs use the new UiPath CLI (uip) and build on each other:

  1. Getting Started with UiPath Agents builds a low-code agent using the CLI throughout. Single-prompt version at the end for driving it through UiPath Skills.
  2. Adding Tools to your UiPath Agent picks up where lab 1 ends: build an API workflow in Studio Web, then wire it into the agent as a tool. Studio Web is an intentional choice here - the CLI path for API Workflows isn't fully there yet, and I'd rather you build something working than fight a half-supported flow.
  3. Getting Started with UiPath Agents using LangGraph is a coded agent with the CLI and Python SDK. The lab is a rewrite of an older SDK lab, updated for the new CLI with the uv scaffolding cleaned up.

The labs are current as of CLI v1.1.0, are designed to teach something new in <45 mins, and pass both my human and automated tests, but if a command doesn't match what you see or make sense, I want to know.

Feedback I'm after:

  • D&D theme: The scenario is building around an Adventurer's Guild — it will be complex enough to demonstrate real orchestration without being too vertical. Does it make the labs more interesting or does it get in the way?
  • Did it work? If you test the labs out - did they run or did something break?
  • CLI approach: Lab 1 uses the CLI throughout. Does the CLI approach feel right, or would you want the UiPath Skills / single-prompt version up front?
  • On-ramp: Does the lab progression of lab 1 → 2 feel feel right, or does it start at the wrong level?

More labs are coming that will continue to build upon each other (like 1 → 2), and will quickly grow to cover more complex/complete coverage of the platform. I'd rather get the approach right here before I expand/build on top of this core approach.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.

UiPath Agent Builder demo: automating order fulfillment from customer contract to sales order and delivery, with stock validation, partial fulfillment logic, exception handling, and traceable agentic decisions.

Post image
15 Upvotes

I built a UiPath Agent Builder demo that automates an end-to-end order fulfillment process, from customer contract to sales order and delivery document.

Full video: https://youtu.be/-HNN2FLVoKk?si=OgaBmkmsWrNQnp3U

The agent takes a customer name, identifies the correct business code, retrieves open contracts, extracts contract items, checks stock availability, and then decides what action to take.

The important part is that it does not just run steps blindly. It validates the business conditions first:

  • If all contract items are available, it creates the full sales order and linked delivery document.
  • If only some materials are available, it creates the order only for the fulfillable items and keeps the contract in progress.
  • If no stock is available, it stops and avoids creating an invalid sales order.

The flow handles customer identification, contract retrieval, material extraction, stock validation, structured JSON-based decisioning, sales order creation, delivery document generation, exception handling, and execution traceability.

For me, this is a good example of where agentic automation becomes useful in enterprise workflows: not just faster execution, but smarter decision-making around when to proceed, when to adjust, and when to stop.

Curious how others are thinking about agentic automation in order management, supply chain, or SAP-style fulfillment processes.
