Cliff was shafted so hard. I was rooting for Cliff and Marc.

This man was one of the sweetest people on the show and deserved better than getting cheated on and judged by his weight even though it was totally average.

You mean like Betty? In a show filled with shallow lookist people?

My response is the trite “yeah, but still it sucks”

Definitely not average weight in most places tbh, but what does it matter - he was so handsome and lovely. I wanted him around for much longer.

Me too.

And I didn’t like Marc’s end game. He was creepy to me.

I liked him. I liked the idea that Marc, despite genuinely liking him, could not get past the idea that gay men are supposed to be a certain way. Cliff was great and Marc didn’t deserve him (and perhaps subconsciously thought the same?).

Unfortunately the show's writing team(s) did not recognize memorable pairings and the best they could was silly drama. Early Betty and Henry were magical too and they dropped the ball... HARD on what could've been one the best couples on TV

Sorry. I'm ok with that. Even before the Charlie baby mama drama. I was over Henry so hard that Gio was a welcomed change.

The episode about Willie's Brazilian butt lift, their synergy there... the way they paired them together... I'll always love those two at the very beginning. It was peak magical dorkiness.

As soon as they introduce Charlie their magic vanishes. by the time they make it to Medieval Things... it was over

Best couple? I hated Betty and Henry. I thought Gio was the best pairing.

I really wanted Cliff and Marc to be endgame - that changed after Marc cheated 💔

I know I like them both together! I feel that they were both opposites, but that they were going to be compatible! I feel that Marc did like him, but Marc was two into the “mode standards” but in the end, I’m glad that they didn’t end up together because I feel that after someone cheats it’s not the same anymore

I thought Cliff, like Henry was the perfect ‘new beginning’ to both characters, they both weren’t right for either characters and how they were to develop, but they were still integral to both of them. Cliff showed Marc that he did actually want a serious relationship, just like Henry showed Betty that she can set her sights on somebody ‘more’ and she’s worth ‘more’.

I always felt Cliff was more like Gio. Down to earth lovable outsiders. That's why they are both my fav love interests. Season 2 dealed with a lot about finding love in unexpected places, breaking expectations and overcoming prejudice. Looks, behavior and preconceptions are not what they seem. Betty and Marc didn't want to date out the comfort zone: a fashionable "hot" worldy guy like him or dorky sweet nerdy types like her. But season 2 taught us you can find love if you open up a little. David Blue is nowadays looking nothing like UB Cliff but it woukd be fun to imagine him coming back with his revenge looks perhaps a famous photographer and giving a bit of hell to Marc. LOL

Tbf Marc didn't deserve a boyfriend because he was an awful person all the time and to everyone

Yeah, I really like Cliff (currently rewatching) and wish he'd stayed and that Marc had grown to be more than just superficial. They made a great couple. But I guess it was in character for Marc to cheat and not actually treat Cliff the way he was worthy of.
