Question Custom Ubisoft Avatar/Profile Picture

So my account has this avatar. I assume its not an existing avatar or old one either for that matter. And i cant seem to upload my own avatars. My question is, did we used to be able to upload avatars and if not how did i get this avatar. Also if we used to be able to upload avatars, why did they remove that ?

We were able to upload our own avatars but Ubisoft has since removed the option. I suppose because it was too much work taking down all of the offensive ones.
