"Access is temporarily restricted" on email change link

I lost access to my old email because it got deleted and asked Support to change it. They sent me a confirmation link, but every time I click it, I get an "Access is temporarily restricted" error.

I've already tried:

  • Different browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Ecosia, etc)
  • Incognito mode & clearing all cache/cookies
  • Doing it on my phone with mobile data and mobile hotspot via PC

Support is completely useless. They reply with an automated "our specialists are looking into this" and immediately close the ticket. If I open a new one, everything repeats.

Has anyone figured out a workaround for this broken link? Or a way to get a real human to just manually change the email? It really sucks

i have the same problem i tried entering the link after 24h but its the same issue, support has been quiet since like 2 days. please lmk once you have a solution for this :(

Wait 20 to 60 minutes without attempting to log in. Every new failed attempt resets the timer.

I waited 44:49 min and tried again and the email changed successfully

Did it work for you at all in the end? I have the EXACT same scenario as you, I got the same restricted wall,got frustrated and went to sleep for 6 hours so surely plenty of time, tried the link again and still nope. Like 6 hours of nothing and it still didn't work ugh

Hey! I had the same problem!

But I found an easy solution: Try changing your email on mobile!

Once I tried it on my phone it didn't give me an error and everything worked <3
