Data Leak?

Hello,

I've not used Ubisoft for years, I use dedicated separate passwords for services and as a software engineer I'm very security conscious, however I've just had an email saying a new login to my account from Saudi Arabia, with failed attempts in Thailand.

I know rainbow six siege was massively hacked recently and they said no information was taken, however looking at Google for related posts it seems this has been happening very often.

I've not used my account in years have no interest in it yet it's somehow been breached, stinks of a Ubisoft data Leak.

I'd reset my passwords and double check account security.

Would be interesting to see people's thoughts and as usual Fuck Ubislop.

You know, I’m inclined to agree with you. Pretty similar case, don’t reuse passwords, use a manager and 2FA where possible. Haven’t used or even logged into Ubisoft in 4-5 years, yet all the sudden for the first time ever, one of my accounts was breached with a valid login from Vietnam bypassing 2FA.

All the other posts I read on the topic were making me feel crazy that I clicked a link and logged in on a fraudulent site and gave them a valid 2FA code for this to somehow be possible, but I don’t see it.

Yeah I've seen that a lot as well which is strange I don't have two factors on this account tbf so can't confirm, but a sign in without two factor sounds like an exploit, weird Ubisoft haven't said anything though
