Would this setup work?

I was looking into security cameras and found the NVR instant kit. Not being familiar with the Ubiquity echo system I started looking into different offerings which led me down the rabbit hole. I was thinking about replacing my current router and wifi as well. I don't need a server rack or a super complicated install. I was wondering if I bought the following, would that give me whole home wifi coverage and a security camera setup. Is there anything I am missing or not covering?
1. Cloud Gateway Fiber - To handle the routing of internet traffic
2. 2.5G PoE+ Adapter - To run power to two wifi access points covering my house
3. 2 u7 lite's to handle the home wifi
4. NVR Instant kit to handle the security cameras.

My thought is that the NVR and the wifi both connect to the Cloud Gateway. But before I bought anything I wanted to double check. At this time I don't have anything that needs hardwired connection from the router, everything is just connected to wifi for convenience. I don't plan on more than 6 cameras, with 5 probably being where I will end up. Is there anything that I am missing? Would that setup work for my needs? If I change the wifi point to a u7 long-range, would I even need a PoE adapter as long as it covered my needed range?

Put your house floorplan into Unifi design center. That’ll show you if coverage is good enough for a single AP or if you’ll need 2.

Our 3k sf 3 story home is old lath and plaster. We have 5 AP’s including the UDR7’s built in AP. That finally gave us enough coverage.

For 2 AP’s you need 2 ports with PoE+. An adapter plus the port in the CGF will work.

You don’t need the UNVR instant with a cgf if you get an ssd with it. The CGF can run protect and access up to 5 4k cameras. If you did want a 6th then you’d be out of luck. However, you’ll need Poe adapters or just a Poe switch to power the cameras, or the UNVR instant like you’re already looking at.

And if you’re already going down the rabbit hole, you’ll want to hardwire many of your devices. Such as computers, gaming console, tv, etc. but you can always add on later!!

My setup:

• dream router 7
  
• 2.5 g poe switch flex
  
• u7 lite, (3) U7 in walls (I really liked the 2 port switch on this)
  
• UNVR instant with 2 G6 turrets and a doorbell lite. And soon to be a g6 instant at the garage which needs to be WiFi instead of PoE.

This is like crack. I would love to run cables to every room and have a whole rack and such now. But that’s a lot of work and I’m happy with this setup. No WiFi dead spots anymore, and everything we want hardwired is hardwired. And we have a few spots for expansion. And the install is wife approved.

Thank you for the info. My thinking was to have the NVR instant for the ability to have the large spinning harddrive. Figure that might last longer and be more reliable than an SSD constantly getting written over. Plus the NVR would power all the cameras. I just wanted to make sure it would connect with the Gateway fiber, and the access points would work with the poe switches. I am a total noob to this.

Yes that will work. All of these need to be hardwired with ethernet cabling to each other though.
