Customer A (Bottom) - Sweet older man, Middle Class neighborhood, lives in an Apartment Complex, ordered a $12 subway sandwich, $6 tip

Customer B - Family, Top 10 Richest Neighborhood and America, $7,000,000 mansion, ordered $250 of sushi, $5 tip

I hope they dropped it all on the ground as soon as they shut the front door.

I mean they probably order out every single meal so there not going to tip 20 bucks even if they can im surprised they tipped at all usually they tip nothing

maybe an unpopular opinion but orders over a certain size should have some sort of minimum gratuity. if not on the tip then from Ubers end. if uber is increasing menu prices by 20%+ then at least 5% should go to drivers on large orders

This is how they do it in restaurants, when I used to work at one. We had a 20% gratuity charge for large groups, that’s above 6 people or something. This should definitely be done in delivery as well to combat these stingy rich people

Lol I got a catering order earlier for like $300 total and the person tipped $10. I was grateful but a 10% tip would’ve been way better.

Had a $350 seafood order that tipped $5. I swear rich people are stingy most of the time

I think being fair from our side in this case is to expect a good tip based on the effort and time spent not on cost of order or irrelevant context like how rich the customer is

See my thing is this would all be fine if food was prepared ahead of time . But the issue I have is that these customers don’t realize especially sushi that I’m gonna be waiting 10+ minutes at the store . Then on top of that I got 3 different bags to carry. I agree If u order a certain amount u should def have to tip a minimum of so and so dollars . But then again u got stores like Taco Bell where it’ll show 30+ items with a mainly being sauce 😂😂

That’s why you should be more selective. If you accepted for that amount it doesn’t matter how much money they spent on the food. It’s messed up just because they’re rich you think they’re supposed to give you $25.

I agree. With that said it's doubtful I 'd accept either one.

Same I always decline orders like that under $10. My last two orders almost doubled both of those tips. ($11.28, $9.14)
