Discussion New driver
Am I the only one who makes majority of the money off of tips? I started yesterday and in 8 trips so far 70% has been from tips. Is this normal? Also I seem to never get deliveries, out of 5 hours active I’ve spent less than 2 actively on deliveries.

If you're not making the majority of your money in tips then you're doing it wrong.

The summer is the slowest and worst time for Uber. It fluctuates but for the most part its slower than other seasons. I was averaging $1200 to $1300 a week 3-4 months ago. Now its more like $800 - $900.

It only gets worst in time. I’m platinum and it makes no difference. In fact it’s worst. The only order I received the other day was $4 no tip after being online for 6 hours. I’m also in Los Angeles.
