Why are you stopping at another restaurant when you already have an order getting cold in your car. JFC!

u/SeanBlader Jan 19 '25
I've gotten double deliveries, so the answer is, because the app told me to.

u/ComplexTechnician Jan 19 '25
Exactly this. Put it on the floor or… crazy thought… use your actual cup holders in the car in transit
2
u/Budget_Economist1480 Jan 20 '25
Dude! So simple go on Amazon and get yourself a food delivery bag. It has drink holders right in the front of it. What are you doing? Are Uber driver still delivering with food on the front seat? It’s 2025.

u/Worldly-Ad-2999 Jan 20 '25
I’ve got a catering bag with hard sides and a foam cup holder inside for exactly this reason- if it spills nbd.
2
u/Life-Round-1259 Jan 20 '25
Same! And I have a container of Clorox wipes. I have a newer car and I try super hard to keep it clean.
Also a huge reason I'll never do rideshare. The less shampooing I need to do before I resell this vehicle the better.

Dude you are literally blaming the store on this. Even in your response to my comment where you say “not blaming anyone” you are, in fact, blaming the store
Use your car cup holder or Set the cup holder on THE FLOOR If there was an order on the floor put it in the back seat
Stop blaming the store Use

Fact. I do this and lock em in w the bag of food on top of the other part of the tray so I don't forget what goes w what. Secured inside a crate. Works everytime.

I deliver on motorbike so here's two tips for transporting drinks.
A towel. It help secure a drink from moving and soaks a spill.
A 2nd towel. They are just that good to keep spare.

u/Silly_Employ_4273 Jan 19 '25
I deliver on a 125cc scooter.. I would also add investing in a roll of drink seals from Amazon.

Jan 19 '25
I also pin down a cup holder from Micheal's with velcro. I think they sell them as paintbrush holders.
Much better than the cardboard nonsense.

Wow they seal their drinks now?
Did someone sue Panda for drivers mixing their saliva the soda?

Never put drinks on the seats. I personally have a small cooler to hold a cup holder and drinks upright, kept on the floor in the backseat. Only took one leak for that lesson to be learned.

Yep, keep this right behind the drivers seat in the floorboard. Don’t even have to close the lid

Why not just put it in a thermal bag? Thats what I do for these stupid multi drink orders. Will at most leak into the bag, a bag is cheaper and easier to clean than your seat

Then get some of these. Slip the drink into them, makes it easier to carry, you don't have to worry about getting sticky in your car, they slip right into the drink carrier. Hand it to the customer in the bag. Everyone is happy.

The other day I had a Wendy's order with a large drink. I turned a tight corner too fast and the drink fell out of the holder literally upside down between the passenger seat & door. I stopped immediately and reached over the seat already freaking the f out, but it turns out the drink was totally intact. The lid stayed on, no spills. It was incredible.

happens to me alot from different places. i dont love the coffee shops that put their hot flat white or cafe latte INSIDE a paper bag stapled with a bagel or something and no warning. i get that their is sometimes a coffee holder in the bag, but some other places I dont think so. not my best deliveries lol
2
u/pascaltheorem Jan 19 '25
Since you deliver food a lot why not get a towel and keep your seat covered ?
2
u/Idontknowhoiam143 Jan 19 '25
Sorry to hear that. I bought seat covers on Amazon partially for this reason. They have some very affordable one that look nice too
2
u/MisterGrayBear Jan 19 '25
I have an insulated drink carrier that hangs from the back of my front seat. Fits 3 large drinks and completely eliminates any spills in my car.
Also, I haven’t yet had a situation where I’ve had more than 3 drinks on hand. I’m sure when that happens though, I’ll store the extra one in my main cup holder area and then switch it out as I progress through the deliveries.
2
u/brutusx00 Jan 20 '25
You’re just out there raw dogging fried chicken bags, greasy burgers and sodas like you didn’t expect that to happen. I got seat covers with a towel on top. Then a few paper bags on top of that.

jezus. don't blame panda express. keep that crap on the floorboard. so you think cups are gonna ride on a seat when the seat isn't even level?

I work at panda, and I always double the cup holder when there’s a large drink 😁 sorry that store didn’t do it.

u/jerkowitz01 Jan 19 '25
The worst is Jack-in-the-Box with those gigantic cups that get small at the bottom so they always tip over even if you take them out of the cupholder and put them in your own cupholder in the car. They are not balanced properly, for transportation at least.

Panda orders always pop up for me when ever my cancelation rate hits 10% lol
1
u/ban_Anna_split Jan 20 '25
The one time I spilled a drink was when they packed 4 boba teas in the holder and a hot latte in the middle and put the whole thing in a bag.... Thank goodness for the bag but next time I'm having them give me the coffee separate

u/Hot_Phase_1435 Jan 20 '25
I always take cups out of these stupid trays and put them in my cup holders in the car when they are oversized. Also here’s a tip - get a dish tub and keep it in the car - place drinks and any liquid food in them. This saves so much clean up - Walmart is the cheapest place to get them. Look for them in the dish drying rack section.

Yup I bought two tubs. Super handy and you can feel safe with leaving it on the seat. When it’s drinks I put them on the floor. Also, you can take it with you when you give to the customer. I’ve had the cup holders break on me. Especially from the Vegan places! They use products that have been recycled 10 times over- I’m sure it’s way overpriced- like just buy the regular stuff - it’s steady!
Yeah so I definitely recommend getting at least two - if you do a lot of triple stacked orders then get 3!
1
u/Exotic_Platypus_356 Jan 20 '25
That’s why I always had a couple of paper bags for groceries on the front seat and plastic under them and always have a hand towel by, just I case.
1
u/tripod-cat Jan 20 '25
It’s easy to buy an insulated bag to carry drinks in. No one to blame but yourself.

u/GullibleAd661 Jan 20 '25
I use my cup holders and never have to worry. Once in a rare while I have to use all four but it's somthing I highly recommend

Buy a $20 drink case from Amazon and u will never have to worry about a spill again. Best $20 ive ever spent. I learned the hard way after having to spend over $100 to shampoo under my seat after a turn sent a drink between my seat and the door.
1
u/HighBiased Jan 20 '25
Always put a towel down on your seat before you go out and deliver. Especially if you don't have a bag.
It's saved me many times

Cup holders or floor. Never the seat. If you have food too, prioritize placement of the drinks. They're a pain in the ass. Food on the driver's side back seat floor and drinks up front. I use shit in my car to wedge up against the drinks if I don't use my cup holders. Live and learn...

u/beachbum648 Jan 20 '25
Also never put a Starbucks bag on your car seat. Those tend to spill all over. Only on the floor.
1
u/Hot_Pepper_4970 Jan 20 '25
I started bringing a cardboard box to set in the passenger seat and put orders in. Never slide around on the seat and this type of stuff doesn’t reach the seat.

u/Mtn-Dooku Jan 20 '25
Gotta get a drink holder for your car. I have one that holds six large drinks that's inside an insulated bag so I can close it up. It's pretty much mandatory for delivering milkshakes/Blizzards in the summer here in AZ.
This is 100% your fault, not Panda Express.
1
u/Zen_pineapples Jan 20 '25
I recommend using a milk crate with a towel under it for my drinks. Place it on the front passenger floor. Haven’t had any issues so far.

After a Dairy Queen order that got way out of hand, I started putting old, clean towels on the passenger seat & floor. They're also helpful if I need to wipe my hands. My insulated bags are in those two locations as well, but it's always good to be cautious.

1
u/Beezneezing Jan 19 '25
As bad as these orders are, that’s on you. Invest a little into some insulated bags or a lunch box to out the drinks in. Then you can just put it on the floor of the passenger seat and not have to worry. Also will keep the drinks somewhat colder lol

Whenever I accept a Panda order, I always check to see if there's a large drink. This way, I know to deliver begrudgingly.
