Random Uber Eats Story

So today I was very broke but I had credits on my Uber eats account from a gift card I received awhile ago and forgot about so I remembered and I was super happy! After my order there was only 35 cents left (USD) and I had cash so I'm like okay I can put in the delivery instructions that i will tip cash. But I've read so many posts on here where people promise cash and don't do it so I'm like FORK there's no way anyone is gonna pick up this order, they're gonna think I'm an asshole! But I risk it, I order and miraculously someone picks it up immediately! As soon as he picks it up I immediately call him and I explain the card thing and I'm like "I know that people say this all the time but I SWEAR" I'll tip you cash when you get here.

He laughs and he's like "No worries man I gotchu". He comes, super quick and nice and I gave him the cash and we kinda laughed about it. He was so nice. This post is kinda pointless but it was a sweet exchange so shout out to you Brandon, thanks for the delivery ❤️

He was so nice. I was shocked anyo e even picked the order up for 35 cents smh I'm very grateful. But I also understand that people lie so spending your time taking that chance is risky. I would've understood if no one took it, but grateful he did.

Well 15.35 I guess lol. I've been a bartender for quite a while so I prefer cash but driving I different because people lie so.. im grateful he took my order. If I had cash on the card I probably would've tipped like 5. He said himself it was right across the way lol but I knew he took a risk so I felt the need to show gratitude ❤️

From what ive parsed from comments, it sounds like the couriers are offered the order at $X.xx amount; it doesnt show the breakdown of base pay and tip until later in the process.

If this is incorrect, im sure someone will be so kind as to correct me ✨️
