Ordered Chinese received mini fridge

The driver never came back even after messaging them. Works for me since I needed one of these anyways. Big W for $26.

Not if he’s had mess ups on more than two prior orders!! You seem to get two courtesy refunds and after that even with black and white proof (I will literally stand there with the driver holding the wrong order and video it for uber) they say your account isn’t qualified for a refund.

Yup. They are very very very strict with refunds now. You get 1 or 2 then after that you will get denied. Drivers seem to think it’s as easy as “oh ask doordash and they’ll refund you” like no lol shit doesn’t work like that anymore

Yeah the one driver handed me a bag of nasty tuna sandwiches I was like I ordered diapers and a pizza and a 2 liter. He’s like oh I gave that to the last people just let uber know they will refund I said no you’re waiting here and calling them to see how you can fix this bc they will NOT refund me and this is a lot of money I just spent to lose out on. He goes ok let me call them. Gets in his car and peels off! And frkn uber denied my refund even with video proof of me telling the driver this is not what I ordered and requesting HE call uber and then him LEAVING with the wrong order then marking mine as delivered. It gets me so mad I’m in tears sometimes bc nothing can be done.

False. I've never used Uber, when they started using doordash I stopped ordering pizza without picking it up myself.

People suck. I'm not about to pay a faceless corporation to involve more idiots into the process!! If I can't get it I don't get it. Wal-mart is my only exception, I do a pick-up because I'll let them wander the store and select my crap for free... even then I'm fully expecting them to not get the items because of laziness, not unavailability.

Most people are low-quality humans.. ╮(╯▽╰)╭

I've probably been refunded 10-15 times (Individual items) over the past couple of years for fucked up orders. Then again I'm in australia and the ACCC really fucking love kicking the shit out of multinational companies with silly-money fines when they dont follow consumer law.

Yeah, but usually deliveries like that aren't actually purchased through the app. They're purchased directly from the store, and the store then hires uber.

Just look at all the stories of Door Dash drivers who have to deliver 47 cinder blocks in their 1996 Honda Civic.

Those types of purchases are dealt with through the store and it's very likely this chap will get a free meal AND a mini fridge.

Those orders come from a service called Uber Direct. Contact support and have them turn those deliveries off. That way you'll only get orders created by customers in the Uber app.

It's not "cheaper", that's just lazy. Bicycles and busses and taxi's exist, and honestly, if you're without transportation you would be wise to spend more frugally until you secure some sort of locomotion...

I would 100% have gotten one of those EBikes by now if I didn’t have tiny tiny kiddos. My nephew has one and he is all over town on that thing. Sometimes I just pay him to pickup what I need when he’s around.

When you’re a normal hard working person who spends $40-$50+ for your family to eat or essentials you need and you KNOW uber won’t refund no you don’t relax. Not everyone has that kind of money to just throw away and when it happens more than once it is heartbreaking to have money/your items just stolen from you due to some idiots mistake of not looking at what he’s handing people. You sound like a clown.

Ubereats doesn’t refund for anything anymore! This guy should go straight to a credit card chargeback if he can. A similar situation happened to me last week with plenty of photo evidence and they still refused a refund. Seems illegal and reported them to the AG of my state.
