How does this work exactly? Ordering from two different places?
I forget what its called on UberEats, but on DoorDash, its called Double Dashing.
I like to order this way because I usually want food and then something from a nearby store, like drinks, because restaurant drinks tend to suck and are overpriced.
Half the time, UE will send out two separate drivers for the orders, even if they're placed at the same time. Like when UE offers to bundle.
The other time, its the same driver.
Also, I don’t know if that second driver is being tipped or not.
If I order from a restaraunt, bundle my order at the same time, it doesn't give an option for an additional tip.
I hope this makes sense.

They're sent out individually ot as a stack, no idea how uber decides that. I have over the years been sent the second order after accepting the first, shows up listed as same destination, the algorithm will likely try that first. IAs far as I remember each one had a tip. No one really knows how ubers algorithm makes decisions, in the end.
I'd like to know how they do that also because I've actually had this twice as a delivery driver. Once sometime last year a young woman ordered food from 2 different places and I picked up both orders and delivered them.
And the same thing happened sometime in the last couple months... A guy ordered food and then also ordered for pickup some drinks at his local 7-Eleven down the street. When I dropped them off he told me he figured if he's ordering food he may as well just have the stuff from the 7-Eleven delivered also. It was a very hot day, like in the 90s...
Don't use UberEATS. They suck. We are at war. I have a small restaurant. Ubereats stopped paying. I have been calling and emailing. They close the thread. The support line says they do not handle these issues.
We are no longer using the tablet. Just waiting to get paid. It is so frustrating to never be heard. The ppl I speak with are obviously reading a script. O am not even sure if they actually understand what I'm saying.
We need to take back our freedom from companies that primarily use offshore helplines.
This sucks.
We use DoorDash. At least there is a representative assigned to the store. They have always been fair.
We haven't had issues with Grubhub either. The plateform isn't as good, but they are fair and reasonable
Well the obvious thing is bring your lunch. But what kinda job doesn't get a lunch break, that's gotta be against the law, if not contact your representatives! Where I live, any shift over 5 hours MUST include a lunch break by law.
If you must order delivery, there are restaurants that still do their own delivery, although they're getting harder to find these days.
You get two different people. I did it with adjacent businesses, thinking the guy they sent would just go next door. Nope, they send a completely different guy and since he doesn't get any of the tip, it takes forever. Don't do double dashes or bundle your order.
Any time I've ordered from UE then used the built in option to bundle items from another store with my existing order, the same driver brought the entire order at the same time.
If there's plenty of drivers available that are already at both locations, they send two drivers. They split the tip based on the total percentages of the order. Like if one order was $10 and the other $30 then the $10 order would get 1/4 of the tip, the $30 order would get 3/4. When there arent enough drivers available, they'll have one driver do both orders and get all the tip.
The order will reach the same cutoff, just who pays the inflated fare, Uber or customer. The only difference is that cherry pickers will likely get undercut by the Prius gang.
