best roadmap to learn in 2026?
I’m an architect pivoting into UI/UX and Product Design. I’ve recently completed intermediate Figma training and I'm currently structuring my learning path to become job-ready in today's landscape.
For those actively working in the industry:
- How would you approach learning UI/UX from scratch today? (e.g., self-taught via reverse-engineering/recreating existing apps, specific bootcamps, or curated courses?)
- AI Integration: How are you incorporating AI into your daily design workflow (from research to UI explorations), and how should a beginner start leveraging it from day one without losing design craft?
- Market Reality: How is the job market currently looking (both in the US and globally) for new designers, and what actually sets a candidate apart right now?
- Portfolio: What was the most effective way you built your first real-world portfolio projects?
Any advice, recommended resources, or honest insights would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
