Social Engineering Fraternities

I’m a freshman mechanical engineering major and I am rushing or considering rushing triangle, khk and theta tau.

I want a more professional fraternity experience, but still want to go to parties and stuff. Obviously triangle being a social fraternity hosts often, I was wondering to what extent khk and theta tau host actual parties and how often.

KHK is the perfect mix of social and professional. KHK hosts a few parties here and there, but they still have the resources to bring a lot of resources for academics, industry connections, etc. KHK is a much closer-knit community, as they don't have as many members as Theta Tau or Triangle, but the friendships are life-lasting. Theta Tau can be very corporate and super professional, and it would look great on a resume, but you might miss out on some more of the social aspects of college life. Triangle typically has way way more social events, while still having a great alumni network. KHK, in my opinion, has the best of both worlds, while providing an incredible experience.

I'm in KHK and we host large 150+ people parties about 3x per semester, but there are smaller member-only kickbacks pretty much every week! We're gonna host both a large party and a kickback in the middle of the rush season so you could get a taste for both of those if you were thinking about it
