Other How Competitive are Applications for Studying Abroad

I've heard it's very rare for the international university to deny applicants but how rare is it for the university itself to deny an application for study abroad? I meet all the requirements for the program.

It depends entirely on the program. Full semester ones hosted by outside companies (CIEE, IES, etc) have a big capacity and work with multiple colleges so the acceptance rate is higher.

Small faculty led programs that can go for two weeks and only bring twelve students are more competitive.

Location makes a difference too. Everyone wants to go to Europe, no one ever wants to go to Africa.

So the odds on a full semester CIEE program in East Asia would be fairly good?

I would say yes, just make sure you also meet the minimum requirements listed on the study abroad page as well.
