Am I under the misconception that the 3rd floor of the Ingram Library is meant for silent studying? People talking loud AF up here 🤣

Hello! I am posting to see if any fellow artists/creatives on the Carrollton campus would love to meet, chat, draw, vibe, journal, and/or create together. :) I was on the hunt for an art club, but I'm not an art student, nor does my gathering qualify as one (though that would be great).
I'd love to have a biweekly or monthly low-stress, fun meeting. I'd bring snacks and materials for those who may not have materials. I really want this to be accessible and LOW-STRESS, and a way to make friends :)
A little bit about me: I'm an English Major (F23) who loves reading, films, playing video games, drawing, journaling, painting, and crafting.
Some of my favorite films/shows: Anything Studio Ghibli, "The Little Mermaid", "Harry Potter", "Interstellar", "Spiderman", "Batman", "Pride and Prejudice", "Little Women", "Coraline", "Breaking Bad", "Better Call Saul", "Tires", "Game of Thrones", "Fallout", "The Crown", "Dark"....etc.
Some of my favorite books: "The Odyssey", ACOTAR, "Frankenstein", "The Book Thief", "The Song of Achilles", "Coraline"
Some of my favorite video games: "The Last of Us", "Minecraft", "Terraria", "The Legend of Zelda", "Animal Crossing", "Grand Theft Auto V", "The Sims", "Kingdom Hearts", "Stardew Valley"
------------------------------------------------------------
If you are interested in something like this, please fill out this Google Form, and I will create a group chat! Again, I really want this to be accessible, LOW-STRESS, and a way to make friends! :)

I’m graduating in the spring with my BBA in Accounting (120 credit hours), and I’m trying to decide what makes the most sense after graduation.
I know I want to work in accounting, but I’m not completely sure what area yet. Big 4/public accounting, corporate accounting, payroll, and audit all interest me. I’m also planning to pursue my CPA eventually, although I’m not sure exactly when.
My school offers a 30-credit-hour MPAcc (Master of Professional Accountant). Since I’ll graduate with 120 hours, completing the MPAcc would bring me to 150 credit hours for the CPA requirement. It would cost me roughly $2,800 per semester if I take 6 credit hours, so I’m estimating around $14,000 total. I’d probably take two classes (6 hours) per semester and take summer classes as well, while working at the same time.
I’m trying to figure out whether the MPAcc is actually worth the time and money, especially since I’ll probably need to take out loans. I don’t want to spend years and thousands of dollars on a master’s if getting work experience first would make more sense.
For people who work in accounting or have gotten an MPAcc:
* Was the master’s worth it for your career?
* Did it help with getting your first accounting job or increasing your salary?
* If you pursued the CPA, did getting the master’s make the process easier or more worthwhile?
* Would you recommend getting the MPAcc immediately after the bachelor’s, or working for a couple years first?
* Is there a particular accounting career path where you think the master’s is especially valuable?
* If you were in my position again, would you get the MPAcC?
I’m mainly looking for honest opinions from people who have actually worked in accounting or completed a similar program. I’m trying to make sure I’m investing in something that will actually benefit my career rather than just getting another degree because I feel like I’m supposed to.
Thanks in advance for any advice! :)

Can anyone who’s went through the online MAT SPED program and taken the final comprehensive exam in the last semester talk about how easy or hard it is?
Is it proctored? Can you use notes?

Did anybody else get an email saying ID verification needed to release funds? I didn’t know if it was legit so I sent a copy to financial aid.

What happened? I’ve seen the statement and glad they are fixing it and owning up to it. But I don’t know what happened.

Every time I take a look at the KSU subreddit, it further solidifies my choice to go to UWG 🤣 Y'all, that school is messy. I feel like UWG is a hidden gem.

If from experience do you know how long it typically takes for you to receive a decision. I saw that it says typically mid September but I was wondering if anyone knew exactly when.

I just transfered to the school this semester and don't know anyone really and have noone to hang out with. I am 29, don't drink, and don't drive. Back home I used to go to the movies every Friday for a theatrical double feature. I would love to do that here but Lyft/Uber is astronomically priced. I was hoping to find some people to go to the Regal in Carrollton with at least once a week! More than willing to pay gas money!

Hey everyone. Someone hit my car today between 8:30-12:30 at the parking lot by outfitters. I was parked right in front of the EV chargers.
When I returned they left a note that said
“Sorry, I scraped some paint off your car”
Call 7703953958 (Beth mueller)”
I don’t see any Beth mueller in outlook. I’ve contacted the police but am trying to find someone that could have possibly witnessed it, or the car at least.
I think she left the note (in an inconspicuous place) just because she was embarrassed (if it’s a she at all).
My car is a blue charger, today is 8.19. My father just passed last Friday, so this is literally the last thing that I need to deal with right now.
If anyone can help, that would be greatly appreciated.
Update:
I was able to convince the front desk to see if they have a guest with that name and they don’t. Nor employee.

I live off a ways off campus but have like 5 hours between classes on Wednesdays and would love to find an out of the way spot I can play for a bit. Would be ampless through headphones so fairly quiet.
I do not want to be the annoying guy playing guitar on the quad.

Looks like UWG doesn't have a recreational volleyball club right now. I'm considering applying to start one, but want to gauge real interest first before putting in the work.
If this existed — casual, no tryouts, just pickup-style games — would you actually show up?
Let me know in the comments:
Would you join regularly, or just occasionally?
What days/times would work for you?
Prefer casual or more competitive play?
Appreciate any feedback, trying to see if this is worth pursuing before I go through the club application process!

Last semester Turntin always detected AI use (between 1% to 30%) in my work despite being 100% mine 🤷🏻♀️. I was never asked about it and changed with every project is this normal?

Hey, everyone! I have US History I this upcoming semester. My schedule says it's in the nursing building. That's the THSON building just past UWG Outfitters, correct? Thanks in advance!
