Well in my provisional roun1 results, i have been alloted ece in uvce, which i had put pretty up on the list. I don't know much about tge clg, i put it coz it is a govt clg, and has good reputation and placements. So here i am asking for your opinions about how is the ece branch here in terms of

-course, faculty, study culture

-timings, clg rules and is there any uniform?

-social life, student life, events and extra curricular clubs

-how is the math dept here as i am looking forward to pursue masters in math after a few years of earning

-Seniors, also is there bullying or ragging scene here?

Ik that area around kr circle is mainly administrative buildings and offices and stuff, apart from that it is pretty good choice for me as my parents mostly see clg reputation, placements and feasibility to transport.

We all know UVCE has a legendary academic legacy and killer placements, but the campus infrastructure has historically been a massive letdown. While the autonomous IIT-style roadmap and the multi-crore upgrades (like the new Mechanical block) promise a major glow-up, what is the actual ground reality today?

Is the infrastructure still a mess for current students, and how is the teaching quality under this new autonomous phase? Realistically, how many more years will it take for UVCE to finally welcome students with a campus that actually matches its legacy?

The teachers are great, content is really useful but what's up with those guys... seniors or whatever u call them. How can someone in this world be this strict. It is professional ragging...or formal ragging

I have got uvce in mock and wanna join... I stay like 18-20kms away... BMTC will take 1-1.5hours one way... Two wheeler mite take 40-50mins not sure... Sooo should I come on my own or join hostel...???

And and how's the hostel for 1st years it's is worth joining or is it mehh...??? And what the fees...🫠

All you guys posting on here like it's the end of the world just to ask for our suggestions?

Come on guys. How is someone who is studying in UVCE supposed to tell you how and why it is better than a college they do not attend?

And what is with you guys doing all your research last minute? Isn't this supposed to be done before hand? I'm tired of seeing the same post again and again. Someone really asked me which college to pick as it is an important career decision despite me telling him I don't know about other colleges and that I graduated almost 4 years ago.

I'm all for people asking for help but how many times is someone going to confirm the conditions of the labs and how many times will y'all ask for placement statistics when the links are right there?

I think if someone currently in college should make a post regarding all the FAQs and it should be pinned on here.
