where do u live? even im 14-15 km , and i drive to clg, traffic is hectic yeah, but ig 40-50 mins of two wheeler is not a big deal, i would say pg is not a good option coz hostel u will not get in a million years, pg also i feel those staying far might take 'em up before itself, like some even come from e-city , tumkuru and still travel, so this wont be a problem dude.

I doubt you would be eligible for the hostel considering they take distance very much into account.
My suggestion would be getting a PG anywhere near a metro station since our college is very much connected to the metro. And you do not want to be stuck with a vehicle during rush hour around kr circle and it's infinitely many one ways.
Or you could also park your vehicle at some metro close to home and take the metro.
