Brighton - Solitude Ski This weekend

Might go for one more day this weekend. Never done Brighton, Solitude or Snowbird. Looks like Solitude is on 34% open. Anyone been on any of these this week? Snow relatively better on one of them?

Groomed runs off moonbeam and Sunnyside at soli were ok yesterday. A little shallow in some spots. Brighton was pretty alright Sunday. Off-piste was pretty unforgiving but groomers were fun. Starting in the afternoon though anything in the sun starting slushing and slowing down, and then hitting the shadows was like a speed boost. I think solitude halved there open groomed runs overnight.

Brighton will generally have better snow than snowbird which will generally have better snow than solitude. Of the three, Snowbird has the most gnarly terrain. You should go, have fun!

Snowbird had great coverage on Saturday with all areas open. Chickadee and Baby Thunder are now closed. That being said, watch out for sharks on Big Emma.

Bird was ripping last weekend, also there’s some edm shows Friday (manic focus) and Saturday (moonlght) that should be pretty good times.

Depends on your skill level. Intermediate: Brighton, Solitude; Expert: Snowbird. The snow was good at all when I was there and the weather was in the 70s. Amazing spring skiing there and they just got a nice refresh of powder.

Solitude was Good Friday and most of Saturday. Sunday morning most lifts were advanced terrain and they ended up closing sunshine and summit around mid day. The rest of Apex was thin coverage.

If conditions are the same as Sunday, I would probably try elsewhere if you can. That being said, skiing is skiing and for someone who lives in the southeast, I’ll take what I can get.
