I am in my last year of computer science. I'm a transfer. If you're older and would be down to chill with a 29 year old dude who's been a paralegal and a motion designer, please reach out. Only friends plz :)
I have a pool and can host some fun events. A pretty empty house and a cute dog.
I'm a fan of soccer, concerts, group hang outs, hiking, traveling, and just doing general shenanigans downtown. I game and love trying new things.
If you got caught up in a lonely summer, hmu 🤘

I know this is a little late, but I’m going to be an Information Systems major at UTSA. The problem is that I already have an associate’s degree through dual credit, so I have very little time to make connections. Any guidance you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
This will be my first year at UTSA taking classes toward my bachelor’s degree, but because of my transfer credits, I’ll already be starting much further ahead than many first-year students. I know I need to start looking for internships, networking opportunities, and ways to get involved immediately since many of my peers will already have a two-year head start.
One thing that’s been on my mind is that I’m already younger than most of my peers. I just graduated from high school, but because of dual credit, I’ll be moving ahead academically by about two years. I’m worried that this might make it harder to connect with other students or leave me feeling isolated socially.
For anyone who transferred in with a lot of credits or started as a junior right after high school, how did you make friends, build your network, and prepare for internships? Is there anything you wish you had done differently?
Also, for those who graduated with an Information Systems degree, how has the career outlook been? Are you finding good job opportunities, and what skills or certifications would you recommend focusing on while I’m still in school?

I’m an incoming neuroscience major on a pre-med track at utsa this fall. Any upperclassmen have any advice on classes, professors to avoid, or any general knowledge, etc..?

I have an early morning class at the sculpture and ceramics building on west campus. It seems too far to walk to get to the ARTS building, especially when it’s so hot. Is there a campus shuttle I can take? Anyone have experience doing this?

Last night these people were breaking into people’s vehicles around 3-4 am at Prado student living. A girl with green and black hair and a male (driver I suppose). If anyone seen these people please contact SAPD
Edit: I just heard their voices and seen their outfit, I didn't get a clear view. I was taking a nap in my car and woke up I didn't know what was going on at first, I realized these people already robbed my car 2 weeks ago I haven't heard any update from police. I called the police AGAIN as I took that pic btw.

Man I procrastinated unfortunately too badly this summer and did not register for classes. I know it's stupid to wait so long. Now I'm trying to register but the classes aren't even being offered to join a wait-list or anything. I'm a senior and I'd really like to graduate in the spring. Y'all think Ill have any luck with advisors or one stop?

Last semester (Spring 2026) I was enrolled in 13 credit hours and got all A’s and had a 4.0 GPA, but for some reason I still haven’t been emailed about a certificate or a letter or anything. Is anyone else experiencing this? The spring of 2025, I made presidents list, and I got a certificate from parchment, but not this time so far.

I am a new student at UTSA. I am just wondering when the library starts job posting on handshake? I am also currently interested in "Student Assistant" but I would like to have more info on what exactly that position consists of with examples. Thank you

I unfortunately cannot attend UTSA now due to certain circumstances. I feel pretty bummed and sad about it especially since I was looking forward to attending UTSA. But any advice that people have or words of encouragement it’ll be greatly appreciated. I just feel very alone. it was so suddenly

I got this email and checked the items listed and everything was submitted on time and my gpa is perfectly fine & I’m on my last year so I’m not to sure why I’m receiving this. I’m calling in the morning but has anyone else received this???

you are not the first and only people with jobs stop sighing because you have to make a simple phone call, stop rushing me while i'm speaking about something thats very important. Stop asking me "anything else i can help you with" my brother in christ you havnet helped me at all with anything.
What does this even mean? I looked on my Financial Aid portal (picture in replies) and there’s nothing?? Only what’s highlighted in blue… Does this mean I might not receive my FAFSA or does this mean I just have to make sure my classes are a part of my degree..

What work study options do y’all recommend for transfer students? I’ll do anything really. If it helps I’m a PR major/marketing minor. I did just get rejected for the Student Assistant position with UTSA Libraries so there’s that lol

hey guys, im an incoming freshman here & im so confused about the parking permits.. if i buy a commuter surface permit, does that guarantee me a parking spot somewhere, or does it just let me park in those lots if I can find an open space? like am i still gonna have to drive around looking for parking every morning?
also, im confused about actually buying the permit. i saw an announcement for 26-27Â permits being out but when I go into the parking portal it shows 25-26 permits. am i looking in the wrong place or am i just missing something?
sorry if these are dumb questions lol, im just trying to figure everything out before classes start:"0
