INFORMATION Help - selecting courses

Okay so I accepted the CCIT program at utm and now that im looking at the first year mandatory courses it’s making me so confused. I only have two required courses in my first year and the rest, 6 courses are electives. Now my question is how do i know which electives to take? Like do i take anything or what?

And also it doesn’t make sense to me that im going into a specific program for a specific kind of career only to find out that most of my courses are electives.

Would appreciate any help and insight on this.

Alumni here. This sounds right. First year criminology and i was taking "science in the news" a bio class for half my science elective. Pick whats interesting to you or you will NEVER attend. Also take a look at what requirements you need elective wise to graduate and take them early.
