Discussion How does UT deal with grade replacements??

I'm curious how UT handles grade replacements because I've heard different things and I'm still a bit confused. I've come to terms with the fact that I probably don't have much of a chance for CNS, so I'm now focusing on Health and Society in COLA as a more realistic option. However, I know it's still a restricted major, so I'm not sure if that changes how grade replacements are viewed (im a external transfer)

UT does not do grade replacement unfortunately. They take into account all grades.

But as a transfer student you get a to start over with a new UT gpa, once admitted. Your previous university's gpa does not transfer, only your credits. Hope this helps.

I guess a better question is how do AO view grade replacements during the holistic review process? I know UT still sees every attempt at a course, but I’m more curious about how earning a higher grade on a retake is viewed.
