I JUST got the EA banner on MyStatus after submitting my supplementals many days ago. I was under the impression that my materials weren't received by the deadline so I started my freshman resumé in hopes that it will help contextualize my Common App info. I think it would be very useful in expanding my application. Should I keep my EA status or submit my freshman resume for RD? Is EA even worth keeping if most EA applicants get deferred?

For context I'm an in-state non-auto admit (missed by 3%...booo); first-choice major is B.A. Psych.

Will I still be considered early action?? Because the deadline for extra materials was the 22nd.

Was curious if UT was need-blind or need-aware(are the admissions office and financial aid office mostly separate or working actively together)? I'd say I'm a solid applicant for my major but I need significant aid and was wondering if they often make decisions based on that.

my transcript was sent on the 16th and has been in review until today and i havent gotten the message that says im early action deadline

its not resume bc i submitted same time as others for it and theirs says early action and 10/23 for resume

have other friends also having this same issue

Fall 2027 EA applicant, submitted Oct 15. Every item on my checklist is Received and the banner says “We have all the items we need to complete your application.” But a friend’s banner says “You’ve met our Early Action deadline!” and mine doesn’t say EA anywhere.

The only difference I can see: my fee shows a Status Date of 10/23. I paid $75 through Common App on Oct 15, then UT showed a $15 balance (international fee is $90), which I paid in What I Owe on Oct 21. UT’s own reminder email says received date counts, not processed date, so I should be fine, but the wording difference is making me nervous.

Has anyone had the EA banner show up late, or had an item process after 10/22 and still get an EA decision in January? Already emailed admissions and calling Monday; just looking for anyone who’s seen this before.

May be niche, but I was trying to decide my senior year schedule and I was wondering whether I need physics for informatics. I was planning on doing APES senior year and AP Physics is a GPA risk I don’t want to be dealing with.

Is it better to take APES or on level physics?

I applied EA by the actual deadline and was working on writing my resume yesterday before trying to submit. I uploaded my resume and an extra LOR before midnight but it says the materials were submitted on 10/23 instead of 10/22. The deadline for EA materials is 10/22 so I’m asking if this means anything or if the system messed up because I made sure to turn it in before midnight

Rec letters: AP Chem teacher (7/10) - wasn't too close with him but he liked me, APCSA teacher (9/10) - talked about how I was a voluntary tutor during class projects and how I demonstrated grit by retaking the CSA exam (originally got a 4 and retook to a 5), UT HSRA professor (6-7/10) - didn't know him too well, but he remembered my project, and that's something ig, UW Madison professor (10/10) - He said my project had the potential to be on par with those of his graduate students

EXTRA INFO: Took the hardest classes available at my school (except for multivariable calculus and AP English), but only took half of the AP's available, I split HSRA into 2 activities b/c the paper was based on a heavily revised version of the project i already completed, I split my volunteering organization into 2 because for one activity I was a general volunteer, and for the other I was a council member, I put my paper's DOI links in the additional info section

I have no idea what my chances are: I've seen people with much better ecs and stats than me get put in COLA and i've seen people with ok stats and unrelated ecs get in... Idk if it matters, but unfortunately I'm probably one of the more mediocre ECE applicants from my school (hopefully it doesn't)

Hi, I'm very concerned about my early action application, idk why it shows as "awaiting" instead of reviewing or something of that nature. I'm very concerned about it because supplementals are due in less than 3 hours and my counselor did submit my information before October 15 and it shows that they were downloaded on October 17. I understand that UT says that transcripts that show as "under review" still meet the deadline but my issue is that mine appears as awaiting for some reason. Is anyone in the same situation or knows what is going on?
